Bob Lindner was garbage. The Eels are so good at wasting money. They are a good example on how NOT to manage a sporting franchise.

Parra were also an ageing team by 1987, as Ella and Grothe were sidelined with injury many times. Sterlo and Kenny were around for another 5 years, but the players around them weren't as good as the players they previously played alongside. I felt sorry for Kenny in his last year in 1993. He deserved a better sending off. |

I remember Grothe got injuries just warming up before the game. Great player but prone to injury

He would have been the best winger I ever saw, but his career was badly affected by injury. I remember he missed going on a Kangaroo tour of the UK due to injury.

just the type of player the Eels needed, but missed out again. The Knights are looking like an elite team this coming season. If they miss the playoffs the coach will be gone.
