I couldnt see, not able to see in this country. How stupid is that. We are losing good juniors now under the grave digger, nothing has changed under him at all, and he hasnt even been in the job a month. The crap continues. Why cant they get an Eels man with a brain in his head? There must be someone somewhere? The grave digger can definitely already start digging his own grave, he would be good at that. Do you by any chance know who does the hiring and firing of CEO's at the Eels? Whoever it is is worthless. OK, no wonder the rest of the world knows nothing about the NRL. If you can't download a simple YouTube clip, how can the game's supporter base expand? The Parramatta Eels Board commenced an extensive search for a CEO in September, which included a rigorous multi-staged process. There were a number of high calibre candidates who applied however following the final interview phase, the Board came to the conclusion that Jim represented the best candidate to lead the Club into the future.
Parramatta Eels Club Chairman Sean McElduff paid tribute to Jim’s significant contribution to the Club as an Eels Director and in his role as the COO.I guess whoever is on the board. Send an email to the club and you probably won't even hear back. Another NRL player who failed at NFL. It's not possible to make the transition unless you've been playing NFL since school.

if there were a number of high calibre candidates how did the end up with the grave digger?
If I sent an email to the club, there is no hope in hell that I would hear back. I bought a jersey a few years back and with the jersey they provided a player profile card. The player profile card that they sent me was a player who hadnt played with the Eels for a number of years, how lame is that? Very unprofessional.
I have told you before that the NRL is the most poorly promoted professional sport on earth. Run by a bunch of lame fools. The best sport in he world will never be known by most of the world.

I should have also said that they cant even get it right in Australia. Most of Australia is into that lame sport with short shorts and no sleeves. A bunch of fairy princesses prancing around the field.

Was the player jersey Ken Thornett? Parra management wouldn't know if it were 2019 or 1969!! I remember when I was 13 years old and wandered into Peter Wynn's score for an Eels t-shirt, but they were out of stock and this sleazy salesman was trying to sell me a Bulldogs t-shirt. Football teams are not like cars, if you miss out on one, you can buy another. AFL is very well promoted and the supporters are fanatical all over the country. Whereas, the NRL is that badly run that Adelaide and Perth failed, but those two cities would attract a decent following. How can our sport fail at something that could be quite achievable? There is an NRL team from Melbourne, but their supporter base is only decent on Grand Final day.

no, Ken Thornett was at least a star, this profile was an absolute nobody that they probably didnt know had left.
Adelaide and Perth were only in Super League and that whole concept failed. I think either city could have a future in the NRL as there would be a lot of ex-pats in both places. Like Melbourne they will never get the AFL fans, they are all into that fairyland crap. They do show the AFL here but I have zero interest. I have no idea who won this year or last year or the past 30 years. The NRL is run by morons, that simple. That is why the game goes nowhere. Remember last year NZ played England in Denver, what about doing it more often rather than a once in a lifetime, that does not work.

LOL Didn't turn out to be the next Kenny or Sterlo, unfortunately. I've heard about Americans knowing AFL. I think through cable TV, AFL is shown. I find AFL a National embarrassment, but is shown to the world and called Australia's game. OK, if I grew up in Melbourne, I'd most likely be an AFL fan and the game can be called a National game, because there is a team from every state, but this game is just 20 or so guys kicking a football around. Can't believe this sport gets massive crowds. NRL = a big fish in a small pond. If you say that someone is a big fish in a small pond, you mean that they are powerful or important but only within a small group of people. That about sums it up!!

The simple truth is that the AFL is run by some professional people that are good at there job. The same cant be said for the NRL. When I talk sports to people here many know of AFL, but dont really support the game. Nobody ever knows anything at all about Rugby League.
I always held high hopes for Danny Crnkovich, but he turned out to be a total nothing like the rest of the players from that era.

I always held high hopes for Danny Crnkovich, but he turned out to be a total nothing like the rest of the players from that era. I bet if you walked down the main street of New York City wearing an Eels jersey, no one would look twice or even once. And if the Melbourne Storm players are unrecognisable when they walk the streets of Melbourne, what chance does the NRL have in America? To be unrecognisable in your own country is a worry. Can't stand AFL, it's not even a real sport, just a bunch of Victorians that got fanatically mad about a few guys kicking a football. Danny Crnkovich always gave 100% like the other players from that era, they just weren't that good. Listening to Mitchell Moses doesn't give me much confidence about Dylan Brown staying. Firstly, that should be an issue for the Eels management to deal with and Mitchell Moses sounds like Rocky Balboa.

They would not have a clue about an Eels jersey in any major city in the US. I might wear one of mine next time I go to New York. True most people in Melbourne would not have a clue about the Storm players. I dont know how much the CEO of the NRL gets paid but he sure isnt value for money. Moses does sound like Rocky Balboa. He sounded like he could not give 2 hoots about Brown leaving until Geyer asked him if he wanted Brown to stay. He didnt sound all that convincing. He sounds very arrogant.
Quite honestly I am already starting to have huge doubts about the grave digger. I know Brown would like to stay at the Eels lets see if the suit can get the job done???

Fitzgerald's wife -
2018
Ex-wife of former Eels CEO Denis Fitzgerald charged after crashing into family while allegedly texting and over the limit
THE ex-wife of former Parramatta Eels chairman Denis Fitzgerald has been charged after allegedly crashing into a family of four while drunk and texting on her phone.
Fairfax and the Daily Telegraph are reporting Lisa Mottram, who separated from Fitzgerald last year, was behind the wheel when she struck the family in Kellyville on Sunday night.
A 55-year-old woman and four-year-old girl are fighting for their lives while a 44-year-old woman and 45-year-old man are in a serious condition.
Mottram, 50, was charged on Monday morning with seven offences including driving while using a mobile phone, mid-range drink-driving and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
She’s been granted conditional police bail ahead of an appearance at Parramatta Local Court on October 10.
According to the Telegraph, Mottram had been driven home after drinking at a popular pub when she decided to head out to buy cigarettes. Just a minute later, 300m from her home, she ran the family down.
Mottram was allegedly two times over the legal limit and was also texting at the time of the crash.
Police will allege she had sent multiple texts just before the accident and are now examining her phone records and CCTV footage from the hotel.
2019
Ex-wife of ex-Eels CEO imprisoned for 2yrs
The estranged wife of former Parramatta Eels chief executive Denis Fitzgerald will spend at least two years behind bars for severely injuring four people in Sydney after drink driving and texting.
Lisa Mottram, who wept in the Parramatta District Court dock on Friday, was sentenced to four years imprisonment with a non-parole period of two years.
Judge Justin Smith told the court the former hairdresser showed a "high level of moral culpability" in September 2018 when she ran down four Hong Kong residents visiting Australia who were due to fly home the next day.
One of the victims suffered brain bleeding, a collapsed lung and was left in a "minimally conscious state" after the collision.
Another, Judge Smith said, was unlikely to regain function of her lower limbs.
The 51-year-old Mottram recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.113 on the night she was arrested on September 16, 2018.
Mottram had been drinking at The Fiddler in northwest Sydney and was seen stumbling through the pub before walking into a pole about 6.30pm.
Judge Smith said Mottram was driven home by a friend. She then left home at 9.19pm to make a 29-minute drive to meet a companion in South Windsor.
The court heard that after twice swerving and correcting her vehicle, Mottram collided into the four tourists on Hezlett Road, leaving them all unconscious.
She had been texting while driving moments before the collision.
Judge Smith said that while Mottram had suffered mental health problems following the breakdown of her marriage with Mr Fitzgerald in 2017, "that does not lessen her moral culpability in any way."
"Drinking excessively is not a crime," Judge Smith told the court.
"It was the decision to drive while intoxicated, text while driving and continue to do so even after swerving that lie at the heart of her culpability."
Mottram will be eligible for parole on November 28, 2021.

Speaking about CEO's, what about Fitzgerald's wife, drunk and texting while driving. What a massive mistake and stupid.
Should wear your Eels jersey in New York. If you bump into any Australians, they'll know what it is, although Australians from QLD and NSW.
Mitchell Moses, "Yo Adrian, I did it". Moses did not sound to intelligent, but a little smarter than Mark Geyer. LOL

Fitzgerald's ex wife is going to have the book thrown at her. I bet he is glad she is an ex.
I will wear it next time I am in New York, I will weed out all the people from NSW and QLD.
Mark Geyer definitely isnt too bright, Moses might be able to win the dense ticket in a battle for who is dumber.

Zero Tackle Moses urges Eels to fast track Brown deal Eels star Mitchell Moses is hopeful Parramatta bosses will re-sign starlet Dylan Brown, urging the club to close a deal as rival clubs continue to show interest. Several clubs are believed to be in the hunt for Brown, who is set to exercise his options on the league’s open market. Parramatta has tabled a three-year extension to Brown that will last until the end of the 2023 season and remain confident of keeping the rising star, while Moses would look to speed up talks if he had his way. “We need him,” Moses told Triple M’s Rush Hour with MG on Thursday. “For us to be a good team, we need him in that six jersey. “It’s scary to think he’s just 19 years old and to see what he did playing 10 games after a fractured back. “If I was Parramatta, I’d be signing him tomorrow.” Brown is one of several names that are currently holding discussions with the club for potential contract extensions, with hooker Reed Mahoney a key name for the Titans. Gold Coast veteran Michael Jennings is also expected to sign on with the club, with a two-year deal including a player option for a second most likely to keep the centre when he returns from leave. New chief executive Jim Sarantinos’ first test will be to land Brown, who is the clubs top priority. Parramatta’s recent history of off-season moves has recently fallen under criticism, namely after letting valued prospect Stefano Utoikaman walk to the Tigers on a three-year deal from 2021. Utoikaman is understood to have requested release from the final year of his contract, which the Eels denied. Sarantinos is hopeful of keeping the clubs most exciting prospects. “(Dylan’s) obviously a high priority for the club, but guys like Dylan and Reed and all our strong young talent, they’re a part of our future,” Sarantinos told AAP. Brown’s stocks saw a monstrous increase following a promising 2019 campaign, leading to a number of rival clubs pressing their interest for the playmaker. Cronulla, Canterbury, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Wests and the Warriors are all believed to be keeping tabs on the Auckland-born Brown. Brown gained league-wide attraction in the build-up to his NRL debut when he was pitched a six-year deal by the Warriors earlier this season. “When I get back to training I’ll definitely have a chat to him,” Moses said of Brown. “I feel like I play my best footy with him and I feel he plays his best footy when I’m helping him out as well. “I feel like we work really well with each other. “I’ve been there, done that (with contracts) and it’s all about handling yourself and how you go about it and I’ll definitely give him some advice.”

All the dud clubs are chasing Brown. Surely he'll stay, unless offered a fortune to go elsewhere.
