that is the problem, money will do the talking. He i definitely a priority and lets see how the grave digger does with this. Browns priority is to stay with the Eels so that makes the grave diggers job a little easier.

He's only 19 years old and already playing some really good football. I wonder why he hasn't been re-signed already? If he leaves, the Grave Digger should be sacked immediately!!

you get no argument from me. He should be a huge priority. The whole backline is on track to being the best in the NRL and he would be a major loss if the grave digger isnt good at his job.
Mortimer looked good as a young guy at 5/8 so we signed him and he went belly up, he was lousy. I hope Brown isnt a repeat of that??

I remember in his second year in 2010 he was struggling and he said it would not continue, but it did. He wasn't the player his father and uncles were. Chris, Peter and especially Steve were good players. A Mortimer playing for the Eels, I guess just isn't right, but he did play in a Grand Final. I think Dylan Brown will be a better player. I just hope he doesn't get pinched by an already good team.

it is every players dream to win a title, but not every player can achieve that. Look at Geoff Gerard, went to Manly for the 81 season and never won a title. Could have won 4 if he didnt leave. Brown would probably be well aware of the limitations of the janitor, but that is only for 2 more years and he is very young. I hope he does not do what Gerard did and go to someone because he thinks they are a contender. I honestly think the Eels will be a contender after the janitor is blown out of his toilet.

Definitely need to flush the Janitor down the toilet. How can Brown or any other player feel confident they'll win a title at Parra? Long serving players like Cayless, Hindmarsh, Burt, Mannah and Hayne never won a title, so what makes the current players think they can win at a club that hasn't since 1986. Only thing the Eels have got going for them now right now is wanting to stay together as a team, because they have found some sort of bond. If that goes, you watch them leave.

the problem is that money will do a lot of talking. Brown may love to stay at the Eels but if he will earn double elsewhere, money talks. I honestly believe that the Eels are not that far from a title, after the janitor is gotten rid of. They have an awesome backline and I will hold judgement on the forwards until I see them play. They have some good ones there as well. I feel that they have a 2 to 3 year time frame to have all the gods aligned???
If Brown is told the story of Geoff Gerard it may have a huge bearing on the decision he makes???

I was saying that, but the Eels failed in 2001. The Eels were looking that competitive in 1998-2000 and by 2001 they had a decent halfback, even though they had a choker coach, I thought success would come. Eels currently have a competitive team, but the Janitor is the weakness. He cannot prepare the team mentally. We've seen many times his half-time talks and the team then loses the game scoring less points in the second half. A coach is supposed to give the players self-belief, especially in the finals. Losing 32-0 to the Storm this year after belting the Broncos was similar to the Brian Smith days. The Storm were better than the Broncos, but where was Parra's strong effort from the week before? Geoff Gerard should have started at Manly and then signed with Parra. Manly were awesome in the 70's, but Parra were the team of the 80's. I don't think Brown will be told any rugby league stories from the past. Not easy predicting the future anyway.

The Eels under the janitor have no killer instinct at all. There were only 2 games that they went on with the job in the second half. 1st against the Tigers at Bankwest and 2nd against the Broncos in the playoff game at Bankwest. Great teams have a killer instinct, the Eels have none whatsoever. The janitor has no clue how to instill that in them. The janitor is severely lacking in many areas and just needs to stand behind his toilets.
Geoff Gerard was great before he went to Manly when he was a center. At Manly he ended up in the forwards and was not as good any longer. Isnt he now on the Eels board?

And there were some embarrassing loses against the Bulldogs and Panthers and got belted by the Storm, 64-10. Once that major loss happened against the Storm which was in round 9, I wrote the Eels off, because it was obvious they couldn't match it with the best. The Storm made fools of Parra twice this year. Not sure about Geoff Gerard. He was on the board a few years ago, but not sure where he is now.

Funny that Geoff Gerard should leave the Eels right before there greatest ever run and then come back as a board member. He must have always loved the Eels.
The 2 losses at Bankwest were down right pathetic, The winning teams werent even good, what an embarrassment for a team that made the playoffs. Not to mention the humiliation the Storm put on the Eels in both games, one on a neutral ground, and the other in the playoffs. The really have a long way to go to achieve greatness, that will never happen with a janitor at the helm. Throw all the toilets in the world at the dude to get the hell away and do us all a favor.

Geoff Gerard - Born in Sydney, Gerard attended Liverpool Boys High School and played his junior football with Cabramatta Two Blues. Why would the Janitor even bother to coach in 2020? He's reached his full potential!! And I'm tired of losing to the Storm every time the Eels make the finals. Eels are just a sparring partner for the Storm.

The janitor is coaching because he is laughing all the way to the bank. Getting paid for something that you are not even good at would that be regarded as some kind of theft? Maybe not legally but morally? He calls himself an Eels man, then be honest with yourself and resign. You dont have to admit you cant do the job, just resign for personal reasons. Give the club you care about a brake?
I wish he would read this.

The dunny man would never read this, because he's not going to earn one million dollars a year being on this website, but this website has better assessments on players and coaches than the club. Also, we here at Electric Eel have the entire history of the club documented which would make anyone at the club in comparison, uneducated on the past. I like that - some kind of theft? Maybe not legally but morally? LOL The Janitor has never or will never take the Eels to the next level. If he does succeed at winning a premiership, I will send a written apology to the club for all of my name calling and doubting his abilities. But that letter will never be written based on his results.

I know that plunger of toilets would never read this. He probably thiks he is above being criticized with his $1million a year pay packet.
Do me a favor, if you do ever happen to send a written apology to the club, please send me a copy. Dont worry I know it will never happen.
