I would give the grave digger 2 years, and that is being very kind. He should be getting results in 2020, so lets see how he does. No ****ing way for another 5 year plan!!! He has signed Ryan Matterson, so that could be a good start. Firing the janitor should be next.

Ryan Matterson won a premiership with the Roosters in 2018. An interchange player. Hopefully a good signing.

Eels haven't won since 1986, therefore every coach should be on a 2 year plan and if no success then shown the door. We're desperate for success and have a zero tolerance for failure. Hopefully the Grave Digger will punt the Janitor.

We lost a good player in Ma'u, I hope Matterson is a good substitute? He had problems with a good coach at the Tigers, who he clashed heads with, now he has a janitor showing him the ropes. I wonder how that is going to make him feel? I have never seen him play so I dont really have much of an idea about him. I guess he played for the Tigers against the Eels but I didnt notice him.
How long will it take for the grave digger to dump the janitor? Will he have bets on it?

It's the Grave Digger's job to find / lure the top coaches in the game, but he can't if the Janitor has been re-signed. Another 5 year plan!!

I hope there is a clause in the janitors contract based on performance? If he doesnt get the job done fire his ass. Of course Bernie would not have been smart enough to put that in. Maybe the grave digger can find a hiccup and fire his ass.

Grave Digger can't do anything until the Janitor's contract has run it's miserable course. 2 more seasons, and there will be another wooden spoon and a crash and burn finals or just miss the 8. New coach in 2022.

2 more season of the janitor unless they can find a loophole in his contract, then we need to go for Jason Taylor who has been proven to fail and start a new 5 year plan. Does that sound like the Eels?

Does that sound like the Eels? And Sterlo will be over the moon about it!! Or maybe former Eels halfback and Rookie of the Year Alcoholic and Bi-Polar player, Tim Smith could coach the Eels after he dusts off his jacket after living the last decade on the street. The only way the Janitor is going to stop you and I from bad mouthing him is by winning a premiership, which doesn't look like happening. I'll be an old man one day still whinging about 1986 being the last title.

Tim Smith would be a sensation at the Eels. The streets would never be the same without him. Jason Taylor as his assistant?
The world will end before the janitor can get the Eels a premiership. It has been proven that the Eels are far far away from matching it with the top teams. Maybe the grave digger can make some good decisions after that shit picking janitor is gone.

JT would get the Eels to the finals every year, but wouldn't be good enough to win a premiership. The Grave Digger needs to find a coach outside of the club. The Janitor is a Parra boy from the dark days of the mid 90's and wouldn't know success even if he tripped over it while cleaning the toilets with his mop and bucket. No one at the club has experienced success. It's not just the players.

I would have to debate that about JT with you. I dont necessarily think he would get the Eels to the finals each year. He is a bust as a coach. I think he is better than the janitor but that doesnt say much.
The best success the club has ever had is with coaches outside of the club. Norm Provan, Terry Fearnley and Jack Gibson, ok I guess I have to put John Monie as well because they did win under him. Do I add BS to that list, he sure was good at getting the team to the playoffs, but then choke, choke and choke again. They were all from outside the club. The coaches from within the club are a who's who of losers.

JT with an ordinary team would stay that way. Overall, JT would fail. The Eels should never find coaches from within the club, Michael Cronin and Ron Hilditch were ordinary. Even John Peard a former Eels player did not make the finals in 1980, the only year the Eels did not make the finals, 1976-1986. Unfortunately, the Eels will have to wait until they sign a champion coach, and one that doesn't choke.

JT would be a waste of time, now having said that they will probably sign him.
You were being very nice about Micheal Cronin and Ron Hilditch, they were both disastrous. John Peard was ordinary. The only way for the Eels to go with a coach is someone from outside the club. No assholes like Ricky Stuart allowed. Would the Eels have the worst list of coaches ever?

The Illawarra Steelers might have a worse list? Except Brian Smith who coached there, 1984-1987. Steelers finished, 8th, last, last and 11th. 2 wooden spoons for Brian Smith. The choker started his coaching career with an ordinary team though. Steelers only made the finals twice, 1992 and 1997. They must of had a list of terrible coaches.
