the Eels are so far short of being an 80 minute team. The stumbled and bumbled there way to that win. Thank heavens we have Sivo, what a great player. Ma'u will be missed next year as well.
With 15 minutes to go I really thought the Evil Empire was going to win, they were all over the Eels who kept loosing the ball. The Evil Empire tries were super soft as well. The Eels have a lot of problems going into the playoffs. Lets hope we play the Tigers, I think we have somewhat of a chance to beat them and not go straight out of the playoffs.

The Eels won by 16 points, not the 14 I predicted.

The Eels won by 16 points, not the 14 I predicted. That's OK, I thought Parra had to beat Manly by 23 points or more to jump them on the ladder. I obviously failed mathematics. The Eels start to the game was awesome, 12 point lead in the first 15 minutes, but a determined Manly and Parra failing to go on with the job turned the game into a close one. If Turbo Tom wasn't injured, that comeback from Manly would have ended in a win by the Sea Eagles. Sivo is currently the best winger in the game. Decent crowd - over 25,000. I hope Parra play the Tigers, they really are an ordinary team, but losing to them would be an embarrassment. |

Unless there is an unlikely draw between Wests Tigers and Sharks, Eels v Broncos on Friday. Surely Parra will beat the Broncos at home. Broncos got smashed by the Bulldogs today.

want the Eels play the Winner of the Tigers V Sharks game? I would almost prefer them playing the Broncos. The Broncos sucked against the Dogs. Just looked at the ladder, ok it looks like it is the Broncos. Cant believe the Warriors beat the Raiders. There is some poor form going into the playoffs.
The Panthers must be kicking themselves that they let Sivo go, there stupidity was our gain. I am liking Waqa Blake as well, another great pickup from the Panthers.

To beat the Broncos, Parra just have to contain their forwards and hope and pray that Brown and Moses don't have a quiet game. To be honest, if Parra cannot beat the Broncos, they don't deserve to be in the finals. Broncos have done well to make the 8, but they shouldn't go any further. But finals footy is a different ball game and Parra may once again get stage fright. Sivo and Blake are great signings. Who the hell is managing the Panthers? Is Phil Gould still there? Panthers are terrible. |

 If Parra beat the Broncos, they play the loser of Storm v Raiders and if they win that game they play the winner of Roosters v Rabbitohs to qualify for the Grand Final. OK, Eels v Storm Grand Final!! LOL |

Phil Gould resigned from his position at the Panthers and is now signed with the Dragons. I would not mind if Phil Gould did some behind the scenes work for the Eels. He does know his shit. The first thing he would do is get rid of the janitor. Not totally get rid of him he can still clean the toilets. He does an awesome job of that.
It looks to be a pretty easy run to make the GF. The only tough game will be the Roosters. I think the Eels will make the GF. The Storm will have another sorry GF and we will be champions18, with a janitor incharge, go figure.
Eels by 18, only because it is at Bankwest.

But like I said, finals football is a different ball game, Parra might choke. |

I really hope the Eels fire as well. My greatest wish is that they finally play a game for 80 mins. They have not done it once this year. Is the janitor good enough to get that out of the team, I doubt it, but stranger things have happened. I am glad that Moeroa isnt even on the bench this week, he has been pitiful. I hope the halfs have a great game, they are so unpredictable.
If the Eels do happen to lose they will have an offseason of amazingly clean toilets.

You bring this guy on when Parra need to score and the completion rate suffers. Shows that the toilet cleaner has no idea. Maybe use this player for defence, but don't allow him anywhere near the ball. Eels best performance this year was the loss to the Roosters. Parra's intensity was impressive. Got into a position to win the game against quality opposition, but couldn't finish the Roosters off. Play like that this Sunday and the Broncos will be blown off the park. |

unfortunately one great game early in the season isnt a great dress rehearsal for the playoffs. I do completely agree with you about the game against the Roosters. It was a loss but they were great. If they knew how to plat for 80 mins they could have won I think?
Let Moeroa go and play union this week, keep him away from the Eels, he sucks. I cant believe he looked great as a young guy coming onto the scene and has gone downhill every year. If Moeroa plays Eels by 2.
