unfortunately one great game early in the season isnt a great dress rehearsal for the playoffs. I do completely agree with you about the game against the Roosters. It was a loss but they were great. If they knew how to plat for 80 mins they could have won I think? Let Moeroa go and play union this week, keep him away from the Eels, he sucks. I cant believe he looked great as a young guy coming onto the scene and has gone downhill every year. If Moeroa plays Eels by 2. The motivation Parra found which of course was the new stadium when they smashed the Tigers is the motivation they need in the finals. They were on fire right from the start and unlike most games did not clock off early. On statistics, the Eels attack is the 3rd best in the league, but their defence is the second worst in the top 8, Broncos have the worst. Scoring points is not the problem, the soft defence is the problem. Parra should beat the Broncos, but I don't think they'll go too far after that. What BA sees in Moeroa is the toilets that he cleans. Flush 'em both down the can!! Brett Kenny talking to Gutho.

statistics mean nothing I am afraid. The Eels might have the 3rd best offense but they could only score 1 try against the dogs. The defense has been soft all season and they cant put together a full 80 min game. Having said that with Moeroa on the bench Eels by 2.
Good seeing Kenny talking about the opening of the old stadium. I used to like sitting on the hill where the scoreboard was, at that stadium.

The Eels mistake rate can interfere with their impressive offence. Early second half against Manly their completion rate was ordinary, dropped the ball in their first set. The Eels concentration must be the problem, can't focus for 80 minutes. Scoreboard was the Southern Hill. Northern Hill was the leagues club end. I was on the Southern Hill early to mid 90's and the Northern Hill the remainder of the 90's.

I may never get to experience the new stadium but I hope someday I might. It looks really awesome even though it is pretty small. Better than the olympic stadium which looks like there is nobody there.
One game at Parramatta stadium all the Eels came out and kicked footballs to the crowd, I caught the one from Mick Cronim which was also signed by him.
Would love to be at the game this week, Eels by 2

You were attending games during the glory years, whereas I was watching on TV cause I was just a kid. Last time they won a GF I was 12. Still have great memories from that day. Parra will only lose to the Broncos if they have either a shocker or quiet game. Eels by 16

with Moeroa back in the team I cant see a 16 point win personally. Before Evans was suspended I thought it might be 14 but with Moeroa back I think 2 points. Moeroa is pathetic. Cant BA see that?
The good thing about the glory years, at least you got to see a lot of Eels games on TV. Rabbits Warren loved the Eels back then and Rex Mossop despised them. They were great times. The next time the Eels have a glory period will you still be in QLD?

Broncos away in front of a hostile crowd - good luck!! Rex Mossop was commentator in the early 80's when Parra beat Manly in those Grand Finals. Must have been hard for him to sit through as Manly offered nothing. Games were over at halftime. LOL The next time the Eels have a glory period I could be dead or in a nursing home aged 105. I'll be in QLD if they win this year.

If BA thinks Moeroa is any good, I would love to know his explanation. Moeroa causes error after error.
I enjoyed Rex Mossop's commentary, he was so biased to the Evil Empire and the Eels had there measure in the early 80's.
I hate to think when the next time the Eels do have a glory period. It will not be this year or the next 2 years to follow, that is for sure. To have a glory period you first of need a very good coach, we have a very good janitor.
The Rooster are having a glory period as we speak and look like they will be very hard to beat. Goes to show if you know how to rort the system you can have great success. Berni Gurr used to play for the Roosters so maybe he has some good connections on they do it?

Moeroa is basically an interchange player to replace a much better and more game time forward, but he's not even good at that. Parra have no problem letting him go. Why they didn't keep Ma'u is a little baffling. He's 31 and still has a few more years left, especially if he continues to play the way he has this year. Glory period will not happen with the current team. Storm and Roosters are too good. Rabbitohs defence last night was soft, but the Roosters were awesome. Parra won't beat that. Roosters cheat!! We all know that. LOL

Raiders beat the Storm. Eels v Storm if Eels defeat Broncos. Have never beaten the Storm in the finals.

I will put it quite bluntly, if we beat the Broncos we are ****ed. The Storm will destroy us. Now it will not be a Roosters, Storm GF. I wonder who will play the Roosters?

It would have to be Raiders. An injured Manly has an easier run to the GF than Parra - beat the Sharks, Rabbitohs and Raiders!! The football gods hate Parra, unless we see a Bradbury Premiership. Three hours from kick off and I wonder if the Eels are already looking past this week at the tough schedule, which may effect their performance today?

58-0: Eels obliterate Broncos to break record for biggest finals win
A five-star performance from Eels halfback Mitchell Moses has helped the Eels crush the Broncos 58-0, a new record for a finals game, at their Bankwest Stadium fortress on Sunday afternoon.
The 24-year-old had the ball on a string as the Eels toyed with the Brisbane defence in an 11-tries-to-nil demolition that was also the club's biggest win over Brisbane.
It was also the heaviest defeat suffered by the Broncos and the most points scored by a team in finals history.
Massive win by the Eels, but against a Broncos team that finished 8th on the ladder. I wonder if Parra produce this sort of performance against the Storm, could they win? I don't know what to think about the Eels next game down there in Melbourne.

WOW, totally awesome. That was the most fun game I have seen since they destroyed the Tigers. I love that they didnt have a point scored against them. The Broncos must be so embarrassed.
Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown were awesome. Dylan Brown has a mature head on his shoulders, and never panics.
I actually do give the Eels a chance to beat the Storm? The Storm are struggling to some degree and if the Eels stay close and play for 80 mins, I give them a chance. I am glad Evans will be back but Alvaro was really good.
At present I will say Storm by 7

Further, I think the Evil Empire will beat the Rabbits. I actually wouldnt be surprised if the Evil Empire made the GF. This whole playoff series has been setup for them to have a fairly easy run to the GF.
