I dont think you can ever blame a goalkicker. The Eels simply made too many mistakes and gave away too many penalties. The Broncos were the better team and deserved to win. Credit to the Eels for hanging in there. Kane Evans has really come on great this season. He was pathetic last season. What a sensational try by Ferguson. I cant believe it that I am going for the Raiders as well. Eels should have scored when a Broncos player was put in the bin for ten minutes. Eels had their chances. They have improved this year with hanging in there and going the distance, but they still lack creativity. I'm getting tired of Mitchell Moses bombing to the corners for a possible wingers try. Moses needs more creativity. He's been good this year, but still needs more to his game plan. Broncos were the better team, but only on grit and determination, which this club has always been since inception. Broncos will be beaten in the finals by better teams, just like Parra. Next game - Sea Eagles. If Raiders beat Sharks on Sunday, the Eels v Sea Eagles game will be a dead rubber. Would you rest the players? Tim Mannah might get a run!! His final game, which may not have a bearing on the Eels position on the ladder.

when the Broncos player was put in the sin bin the Broncos played all over the Eels. I agree with you on Moses, he was very quiet against the Broncos. Needed more of a running game, he is dangerous when he runs.
The Broncos will not go far in the plasyoffs just like the Eels. Both teams are not that good. The Storm and Roosters are head and shoulders better than both those teams, plus I dont think either team could beat the Raiders and Evil Empire in the playoffs. The Rabbits are a big question mark at present.
If the Raiders beat the Sharks I would definitely play Tim Mannah for his last game at home. He has always been an Eel through and through and deserves that. Does BA have the heart to do that? I guess we will find out.

He might do the same with Mannah? Turbo Tom injured and should be out against the Eels on Friday. Eels might be a chance of winning. Although, if The Raiders beat the Sharks the game won't really matter and Parra can rest a few players that are suffering from niggling injuries. Eels by 0!! Game won't matter. LOL

Eels home final at Bankwest Stadium against either Broncos, Wests Tigers or Sharks. If Broncos beat the Bulldogs next week, Eels v Broncos, but if the Broncos lose, Eels v winner of Wests Tigers and Sharks.
I think I prefer Parra to play Broncos. Wests Tigers and Sharks might be hard to beat, because they are so unpredictable. We know what to expect from the Broncos.

If the Eels beat the Evil Empire by 23 points they go ahead of them. Are they a chance of doing that? I dont think so. I would rest a few players with niggling injuries and give Mannah a run, he deserves that. Does BA care, I dont think so. Is BA a good coach, I dont think so. I will wait to see what the teams are before I make a prediction.
I would prefer the Eels to play the Tigers in a playoff, I think they will go to the next round.

Can't see Parra beating Manly by 23 points. Lucky to get a win. Even an injured Manly is still a determined Manly. I guess we get to watch a game this weekend not having to stress too much, because the result no matter what is a home finals game the week after. Sharks v Wests Tigers should be an exciting game. And I think you're right, playing Wests Tigers would be better. Surely Parra can beat them, but those easier games are a concern - look what happened against the Bulldogs and earlier in the year, the Panthers.

It doesnt look good for the Eels going into the playoffs with 3 straight losses. Maybe they can show what they did to the Tiger and Broncos at Bankwest? I hope so?
I hope the Tigers beat the Sharks, I think the Sharks can be a dangerous team. I would hope the Eels play the Tigers in the first week of the playoffs, having said that, the Sharks will probably win? On the subject of the Panthers, they sure dies in the ass the last part of the season.

You might say that's taking poor form into the game, but it would be worse to win all 3 and then lose in the finals. So much expectation which came to nothing. Yeah, Sharks would be the hardest to beat. To beat the Broncos you just need to contain their forwards or just be on the same level and hope Brown and Moses don't have quiet games.

of course BA the head janitor who can clean up a toilet to look like new didnt pick Tim Mannah. What an asshole. Tim Mannah would have played well enough to not disgrace the team. I think there should be a riot by the supporters that he isnt playing. He deserves to be there.
I am going to go out on a limb in this game and tip the Eels by 14? I think the Sharks will beat the Tigers by 10

Eels will beat Manly, but it really doesn't matter other than taking a victory into the finals for maybe some confidence. Eels will then play Broncos at Bankwest - can't see the Bulldogs beating the Broncos.

BA should just go back to his janitorial job and get the hell out of coaching. Mannah deserved a spot for this game. The front office of the Eels should be disgusted. The Eels dont treat you as a legend if you have been a great servant for the club. That is pathetic.
Eels by 14, and put them in 5th place.

The janitor thinks he knows coaching. He has no idea on how to inspire this team. Kings of swing: Eels and Manly set to achieve rare feat It's not all that uncommon for a team coming off a bad year to make a drastic single-season improvement but for two clubs to each jump 10 or more ladder spots in the same season – like the Eels and Sea Eagles are set to do – is far rarer. Last year's wooden spooners have booked a top six finish, meaning the Eels will finish 2019 either 10 or 11 ladder spots higher than their 16th place finish to 2018.

lets hope the Eels go up 11 spots, putting the Evil Empire up by 9 spots. It will actually amaze me is the Eels end up above Manly on the ladder. Manly has been a better team this season.
Eels by 14

Eels by 14 Neither team can make top 4. Funny if Parra belt Manly by 25 plus and finish 5th. Then Manly might play the Broncos. Kick-off in one and half hours - the dead rubber game.

Go Parra!! 32-16 winners!! Still made too many mistakes, but they hung in there and put in a great effort at the end with 12 players. 5th spot on the ladder. Broncos should beat the Bulldogs. Eels v Wests Tigers / Sharks in week 1 of the finals.
