My take on the game -
* Panthers in the 1st half were dreadful with many errors - long season for them.
* Eels put in a solid performance, but it's only early days
* Mitchell Moses goal kicking was ordinary, but he kicked the one that mattered to go 8 in front.
* Eels only let 2 tries in and that was during Jennings sin bin

Good solid performance again. Bulldogs led early 10-0, but they had 70% possession in the first 20 minutes. Next game against the Roosters will be a real test.

They have been playing with commitment and strong defence, but the Roosters are on another level than the Panthers and Bulldogs. Interesting to see how they go against the Roosters, Rabbitohs and Storm. If they keep playing like the first 2 rounds and don't suffer injuries, a top 8 spot may happen. |

I thought they were the better team for 60 mins against the Roosters. I was proud of them. The final 20 the Roosters were just too good. Tedestco killed them.

Exactly and the Roosters have been successful for some time and know how to win. Interesting to see how Parra go against the Sharks. I'm staying negative and tipping a loss, it seems to work. |

OK, I will tip a win, a very narrow win as the Sharks have good defense and hang around in games. I hope Shaun Johnson does not ignite.

Their defence in the first 3 games with the exception of the last 20 mins against the Roosters has been rock solid. Not many gaps in their defence and the opposition really had to work hard to score. We'll see on Saturday night!! |

The Roosters sure proved how good they are last night against the Broncos. It goes to show how well the Eels did play against them. The Eels for the playoffs this year.

If Parra keep playing the way they have this year, they'll make the 8. But it's only early days and poor form and injuries can happen. I'd like to see a comfortable win against the Sharks, but that's definitely asking for too much. |
