your avatar is quite disgusting, how do you feel showing that crap? The Titans have improved since they fired there coach even though they are still pretty bad, but the Eels are pathetic away from home. Even though they won against the Dragons away from home they were pretty bad, the Dragons were just woeful. Titans by 8, I hope Eels by 48?

This time next week will be my usual avatar. Can't wait. Remember our other bet, will JH end up in jail? I think Parra will win, but it could be tough!! QLD is like another dimension for Parra, they are so bad at playing away from home.

the phantom biter going up the river is still a long way off. The last time the Eels played in Qld they lost by so much it is embarrassing and that was a neutral ground for both teams.
Titans by 10, damn it.

Titans by 10, damn it. This game will be an epic battle - how embarrassing is that. I expect Titans 10-0, early lead. Eels to come home strong and win by a field goal, when instead it should be an Eels win by plenty. Could be an upset? Get ready for the BA speech!!

Parra were never in danger of losing this game, even at halftime with only a 12-6 lead. Go Parra!!

all in all good to get a win, but, still far from an 80 min team and still very soft defense at times. Ma'u was awesome. Moses has come on in leaps and bounds this year and Lane has been a great buy. Shame we are losing Ma'u after this season, this has been his best year with the Eels. Waqa Blake was really good as well. He is a nice strong runner. What a backline we will have when Ferguson gets back. The forwards is where the biggest problems lie.

Parra obviously thought otherwise and went for the try that didn't come until 5 minutes into the second half. Parra knew the Titans were never a threat and that penalty goals weren't necessary. Yep, some of these players are starting to come on in leaps and bounds and at the right time, just before the finals. Forwards like you say, might not be good enough to win a Premiership.

the Eels should won by a lot more than 24 points. The Titans were pathetic. The Eels are not an 80 min team and that will kill them in the playoffs. Did you know that Luke Burt is coaching the Titans at present?
Lane and Ma'u are both playing well and Natan Brown has been solid. Nahoney has been good all season but we need props to improve the go forward. If we can get some strong forwards in the offseason next year could be a lot of fun. Mind you we do still have a huge problem next year. Do I really have to tell what that might be?

Wonder how Burt will go? 12-6 halftime score was embarrassing, considering Titans had nothing, but I knew Parra would win. Should of been 20-6 or more. Late in the half Parra made too many mistakes and that will definitely cost them in the finals. BA is the problem!! LOL Imagine a good coach. Brian Smith was a choker, but Parra 1997 - 2006 were a strong club with many opportunities to win a title. Unfortunately, Parra failed to convert those opportunities into success. BA will not win a Premiership. If Brian Smith failed, what chance does BA have?

Luke Burt would be a better coach than BA. The Titans are pathetic and it isnt his team, so you cant judge him from that game.
Brian Smith was a much better coach than BA but never won a thing because he was a huge choker. I would take Brian Smith back now in preference to BA.

At least Parra made a Grand Final with BS. Very unfortunate to have played against the games best ever halfback. Luke Burt must have joined the Titans for the beach babes and nightlife. What else is there to do there? No great football team in that place. Never will be!!

isnt this the 4th time the Gold Coast has tried having a football team including Tweed Heads? They have been very unsuccessful to date but I think they could get strong under the right guidance.
I thought Luke Burt was and assistant coach with Wentworthville actually. In the game against the Titans the commentator mentioned that he was one of 2 main coaches there now. The Gold Cost does have a great nightlife when you are younger but he would be starting to get a little to old for the woman there now, wouldnt he?

Further to last, this could possibly be a great round for the Eels if they beat the dogs. Broncos beat the Rabbits and Raiders beat the Evil Empire. We could be in 4th place. Not bad for an average football team. Can everything go as planned, though?

Not bad for an average football team. Can everything go as planned, though? It's the 2nd time for a Gold Coast team. First time (1988-1998) they just kept changing their logo, from Giants to Seagulls to Chargers. Second time (2007-present) was the Titans. Luke Burt would be married with kids, but Gold Coast would be a great place to find a sexy mistress. LOL Why else would coaches end up there? I think the area has a casino and heaps of nightclubs. Gold Coast would be like an episode of Miami Vice, gangsters and coke everywhere. Parra should beat the Bulldogs, the Eels will have too much strike power in attack for the Doggies. Top 4 could set Parra up for an embarrassment. If they finish 6th and lose in the first week of the finals, no one will laugh at them.

If you snorted the sidewalks on the Gold Coast you would get high.
OK, so that is why I thought it was the forth time around for Gold Coast. It wouldnt be a bad place to live, the weather is nice but a bit to humid for me in summer.
The Eels like you said should beat the Dogs, but being the Eels things dont always go to the script. I am going to trow this out there just for the hell of it, but if the Eels do end up in the top 4, and the luck of the draw goes there way, maybe they can do a bit more than we both expect? Having said that in all honesty, if they do make the top 4 I think they will be done 2nd week of the playoffs.
