hope you are right. I cant see them winning by that much away from Bankwest. I hope I am wrong, Dragons by 10. BA is already making excuses if Parra lose. NRL.com Arthur wary of desperate and dangerous Dragons Eels coach Brad Arthur believes the desperate Dragons' lowly ladder position belies their class and anticipates them to fire in Sunday's clash at Jubilee Stadium. While Parramatta can still reach the top four, 14th-placed St George Illawarra are merely a mathematical chance to make the eight and need to win all six remaining games, plus rely on other results. But Arthur refuses to overlook the Dragons' quality after they almost trumped premiership heavyweights South Sydney last weekend. "I know they haven't won as many games as they would have liked to but they're still a very good football team. They're still chock-full of a lot of representative players," Arthur said. "They were all but winners last week. They're a good football team with a lot of good players and I'm sure at home they'll put in a real strong performance." Arthur said Parramatta trained with energy during their captain's run on Saturday and must bring that enthusiasm to Kogarah. He highlighted St George Illawarra fullback Corey Norman as a threat, with the playmaker to come up against his former team. Norman played five-eighth in the Dragons' 32-18 loss to the Eels in round seven and was strong until he suffered a cheekbone fracture in the second half. "He's a quality player. With Normy, we've got to be on our game because he's got a real good skillset. You can try to go after him with your defence but he's got a real nice pass," Arthur said. "We've got to make sure we present a real straight [defensive] line on him … He's confident about everything and high balls aren't going to worry him." The Eels sit sixth having won four from their past five matches and Arthur is pleased with his team's steady improvement. "We're getting better in terms of longer periods and being able to turn away those [tough] periods," he said. "The two losses that we've had in the last seven or eight games, the performance hasn't been that bad. It's just been a 10 or 15-minute period where we've been really bad and conceded too many points. "... As soon as we can put in back-to-back performances of 80 minutes then we'll be finals worthy." Eels winger Blake Ferguson remains sidelined after an allergic reaction to antibiotics used to treat a knee infection and the club is unsure when he'll return, though Arthur confirmed it will be before the finals. "[Ferguson] will come back in [to training] on Monday or Tuesday and get moving again. He's been [getting] better," Arthur said. Veteran centre Michael Jennings will face the Dragons after recovering from a knee injury. Arthur said the premiership winner and ex-NSW Origin player has a calming influence on those around him. "His experience, especially in the big games, is important for us. I think when he was there he was very good for [rookie five-eighth] Dylan [Brown] and very good for Maika [Sivo] on the wing," Arthur said. Arthur was loath to discuss the possibility of signing Penrith's Reagan Campbell-Gillard, with the former Australian prop linked to the club despite being contracted to the Panthers until 2024. "You'll have to talk to the club about that. We don't discuss our recruitment plans," Arthur said. Pressed on whether he would like Campbell-Gillard at Parramatta, Arthur simply offered: "He's a good player."

More results this weekend in Parra's favour. Broncos, Knights and Panthers all just below Parra on the ladder and losing. Tigers beat Cowboys though.

yep, he has reason to worry. He is a lousy coach. If we win this game we will be 4 points ahead of the next 4 teams. That is huge at this time of the year. I really hope we win big, so out for and against is a lot better. Sadly having said all that the Dragons by 10.

I thought Parra's attack was ordinary and once they started making errors in the first 20 minutes of the second half, they were never going to score again. Good solid defence though. Dragons had absolutely nothing, I think only one line break? LOL I thought Parra had some tough calls against them. 4 points ahead of teams 7th, 8th and 9th on the ladder. Eels could be playing finals football this year.

I think they will play finals football as I have said all along, but if they play like they did against the Dragons, they will be out first week. What an absolutely ugly game that was. I really didnt enjoy it much at all except for the fact we won. It would have been nice to get more points as our for and against is very poor.

It's strange how Parra are a different team away from home. Knights this weekend at home. Eels by 14. I think Parra are due for a loss, but maybe not this weekend. Will probably lose to the Titans away.

You are confident I am not. The Knights havent gone all that well of late but they can play some good football, not to mention they have a pretty decent team. Eels by 2

Eels by 2 Knights are a chance, but they have fallen apart, whereas Parra are on a roll. I expect an Eels win, but no way am I extremely confident. Good to see Manly lose last night. If Parra win, both will be on 26 points.

A bit worried early in the second half, but Parra won the game. Glad Moeroa is leaving for Union. This guy drops the ball too much. Again, this time 1 metre out from the try line with a chance to score a try late in the game to put the Knights away. Mitchell Moses goal kicking game was not on the mark tonight.

Moeroa, really stinks to high heaven now. I dont know how many tries he has bombed this year. I am glad he is going to Union as well because he always had talent and if he played against the Eels his talent would probably come through. Ex Eels players tend to hurt the Eels. Titans by 8

Titans by 8 Wow, you're tipping the Titans!! Could be an upset? Parra are terrible away from home and the Gold Coast is a 16 hour road trip from Parra. Like my new avatar!! You won the bet. I have conceded defeat and will parade this avatar over the next week. It appears Parra will make the 8.
