I agree, except I think the real problem is most teams are well run and the Eels are very poorly run. No good talent scouts, not a good coach and the front office is a shambles. That Bertnie Gurr is no better than Fitzgerald. How many more years are we going to have to put up with that loser?

Parra are definitely run poorly, no doubt about that. 33 years since the last Premiership and only one finals appearance in the last decade. Awesome performance by the Eels tonight. 38-10. Smashed the Broncos. Bye next week - another 2 points.

the trouble with this game is they didnt go on with it against the Broncos in the second half. They are not an 80 min team. Great getting the win but can they play away from home at all?

Raiders in Darwin in two weeks time and then the bye. I'm tipping Raiders, a top 4 side and the game is away from home. Season so far W Panthers (Away) W Bulldogs (Away - but ANZ Stadium) L Roosters (Home) W Sharks (Home) L Raiders (Away) W Tigers (Home) L Knights (Away) W Dragons (Home) L Storm (Away - Brisbane) L Cowboys (Away) L Panthers (Home) W Rabbitohs (Home) L Sharks (Away) W Broncos (Home) Play every game at Bankwest including the Grand Final and win the comp.

win the competition unless we play the Panthers at Bankwest.
Not looking forward to the Raiders game, I think the Eels will get smashed, even though it is a so called home game in Darwin. I dont like that idea os playing a home game elsewhere. The Bills used to do that in Toronto, and like the Darwin idea was a pretty dismal failure.

With the exception of the Panthers game, they are unbeatable. "Fortress Bankwest". I agree on the Raiders game. Raiders this season are good and Parra are terrible away from home. Although, might win, because it's not a home game for either team.

Most teams play better at there home ground, but the difference between the Eels at home and away from home is huge. I hope they can put in some better efforts away from home for the remainder of the season?
Raiders by 32 in Darwin. Maybe the heat will get to the Raiders as it must be starting to get quite cold in Canberra?

Canberra 10 degrees. Big difference. Canberra will be -3 on Wednesday. I don't think the weather will play any part. Parra simply can't play away from home.

even though it is being played in Darwin it is still a home game. I wonder what there record is in Darwin? From memory I dont think it is all that good.
I realize it is to promote the game in Darwin but are the locals really getting behind the games there? The crowds seem to be very small each season, so my opinion is that it is a waste of time.

Eels v Raiders only once in 2014. Parra won 18-10. Hayne was on fire that night scoring 2 tries. Crowd 9,527. Other times -

the crowds are an embarrassing joke. What is the point of taking the game there, with no support by the general public?

Might have something to do with keeping the game alive in country areas. If Parra want to promote the game, they should play a home game in Adelaide or Perth. Capital cities that don't have an NRL team, but a decent population.

I totally agree with you. A lot of ex-pat NSW and Qlders are in those cities I dont know about Darwin.

it is a great success rate for the Eels. It will not be quite as good after the game against the Raiders, in front of a crowd that is laughable for a professional sport.
