it is a great success rate for the Eels. It will not be quite as good after the game against the Raiders, in front of a crowd that is laughable for a professional sport. Raiders 28 Eels 14 A win would be good because the following week a bye. 4 competition points would be nice.

I think Raiders 46 Eels 10, that is being nice as they are so bad away from home.

I hope you are right, unfortunately there efforts away from Bankwest tell me different. The atmosphere will be bad with a poor crowd as well. I hope this is the last of the Darwin trips.

Darwin every year since 2014. Seems to be a regular event. Parra need to win this game to not only remain in the 8, but to also beat a top side besides Souths minus their Origin players.

If the Eels play like they did against the Roosters they have a chance. I honestly think the game against the Roosters even though they lost was one of there best showings of the year. The only reason why they lost that game is because they have proven they are not an 80 min team.

The only reason why they lost that game is because they have proven they are not an 80 min team. The performance against the Roosters was one of their best. But the Roosters knew how to win. Roosters hung in there even at times when they weren't the better team. Parra are not on the same level as the Roosters. Wouldn't it be surprising if Parra smashed the Raiders, but I can't see that happening. We'll know 15 minutes into the game which Parra team turned up.

I would love nothing better than the Eels smashing the Raiders, I hate Ricky Stuart. I wonder who he will blame if they do get smashed.

They just focus on their own teams performance and what went wrong and / or what can be improved. RS is the master of this.

RS is a master of blaming the referee. I cant stand him.
Mind you BA usually blames the team but things dont change much.

RS was a great halfback, but I heard he was a bit of a sledger - Sledging is a term used in cricket to describe the practice whereby some players seek to gain an advantage by insulting or verbally intimidating the opposing player. Explains his constant blaming of the refs. As for BA, you can't blame the ref when the team only puts in 50% when playing away from home. It's not as if the Eels lost to the Storm this year in a close one that came down to a penalty or decision.

yes I know what sledging is. RS always looked like a good sledger as a player, very cocky. He was a great player.
The game against the Storm at a neutral ground was embarrassing, the worst game by any team this season. I just wish that BA could find a way of getting them over the hump in away games.

I don't understand why Parra cannot play decent away from home. Do they get homesick? If the home team has the majority of supporters, they just need to block that out of their mind and focus on the game.

I dont get it either, I know that a home ground gives some advantage, but the Eels have been downright disgusting away from home. Neutral ground this week, the last time that happened it wasnt good.

The Storm are that good, every game is a home game for them. It doesn't matter where they play, which explains the 64-10 defeat in Brisbane. Parra are the opposite, can't play away from home and have the occasional defeat at home. A 40-50% overall success rate, which is not good enough.
