Daniel Anderson was de-registered as well and he is going to the Roosters now. I dont think that de-registered thing matters much. Anyway what Flanagan did was not as bad as what Daniel Anderson did.
Having said that I dont know if Flanagan is available or not, but if the price is right I am sure he will be available.

LOL I think if Parra fail again, the fans will start calling for his head. We saw that with Fitzgerald, when the fans gathered outside the club. It would be interesting to see a list of all the available coaches. |

If the Eels dont win the first 6 games of the season I think all the fans should gather at the club and protest for a new coach. It may be the only way to get some results from a lousy run club. Surely if many protest the CEO has to be answerable? If wouldnt look good if they were just ignored.
There are probably some really good coaches out there that we have never heard of. I can guarantee the Eels will never find them, because the recruiting at the Eels is lousy.

Over the weekend, I watched the 81, 82, 83 & 86 Grand Finals. With the exception of 1981, cause the lead changed a number of times, the Eels didn't give much to their opposition. Manly and the Bulldogs not only struggled to score, but struggled for good field position. In 81, after Tommy Raudonikis scored a try straight after halftime, the Jets for the rest of the game didn't even get into the Eels half of the field. They throw the ball around mostly in their own half. |

do you have video of all 4 games? I did watch the 86 grand final a few years ago on youtube. That was one scary game.

All the Eels games that I have recorded over the past few years I end up getting rid of them because they really have not played a good brand of football. A win is a win, but the Eels tend to have ugly wins.
As a Buffalo Bills fan I have to live in the past with them as well, it just isnt quite as far in the past as the Eels.

Yeah, it's a real shame that the Eels, Bills and even the 9ers haven't won a title in quite some time. Bills last won in 1964 and 1965 (AFL Championships). I guess they don't release those pre Super Bowl games on DVD. |

Hayne was brilliant, but Parra also had three very experienced and good players; Hindmarsh, Cayless and Burt. Also had Eric Grothe jnr and Fui Fui. Since then, it's just been Hayne. there are a few young guys, so dont know how to rate them yet. Taka is past it, and Micheal Jennings, needs to wake up, so both centers are a problem. I would move Gutherson to center and put French at fullback.
