Andrew Johns was a great player, I doubt the Knights would have ever won a thing without him. He was the most dominant player of his era, but i dont think he was great in State of Origin..

The Eels played the Knights minus Andrew Johns at Parra Stadium in 2001 and the Eels won 40-0. The Knights haven't been anywhere near successful since Andrew Johns left. Not sure if I agree with you on State of Origin, I thought he was great. Since Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler retired, NSW have been ordinary.

the difference between the Knights with Andrew Johns and without Andrew Johns was huge. I have never seen one person so influential in a sport that is supposed to be a team sport.

If you build a team around one particular player that's what happens. I remember vaguely that every time Andrew Johns didn't play due to injury, the Knights would lose. It was basically a forfeit. But the Knights achieved 2 premierships.

The one where they beat Manly was enjoyable, unfortunately the same cant be said for there second one, it was a disaster. The Eels played great in the second half and if they stopped the Timana Tahu try the score would have been tied. It was too little too late though.

Manly losing in the last few minutes was enjoyable to watch. That Grand Final was definitely in the top 10 Grand Finals of all time. It was fast and tough from end to end. I watched the game on DVD a few years ago. Yeah, if Tahu didn't score that try the comeback was on and Parra maybe would of won the game. Parra definitely that year had the ability to put 20 points on in 20 minutes. They could blow teams off the park over a short period of time.

Rugby League was definitely tougher back then than it is now. The game is still very good but it has lost something.

now it is all about the money. You see a lot of players with plenty of ability that just dont put in.

BA would be the worst coach in the NRL. Never has a game plan and sure as hell has no support from his players who play sub-standard. Has there been one player under his watch that has improved? Some may has stayed the same but most have become worse under him, that has to tell the people in charge something???

Brian Smith was a choker, but at least Parra were competitive and won 2 minor premierships!! Since BS, Parra have struggled with coaches. It is definitely time to replace BA.

what was the point of keeping BA for another season? It was probably all about money? They talk up BA as he will be the savior this season, but the fact is, he is a bum.

LOL Another long season with BA and his no game plan. Some coaches have a plan B, I don't think BA even has a plan A. Parra will run close to last again!! Is there any chance of a top 8 spot?

with the team the Eels have, and the clueless coach, they will battle for the wooden spoon, I hope Manly win that spoon, it is about time for them. No chance of a top 8, sorry to say
