Brown's complicated clause revealed
On face value you could be forgiven for thinking Dylan Brown will remain in Parramatta until 2031. However, the situation is far more nuanced than that.
The five-eighth's massive contract extension, inked several seasons ago, kicks in from 2026 onwards. But, the catch is that the deal is not guaranteed to even begin, with the contract essentially a series of one year deals triggered by Brown taking up a player option.
This means he is now free to negotiate with rival clubs for a deal from 2026 and beyond, with the Knights and Dolphins potential suitors for him.
