Unfortunately it was the evils again in 1987. I met Mick Cronin that year and my girlfriend at the time was a evils supporter, anyway Mick said that the Eels had a better chance at winning the GF than the evils. Unfortunately he sure was wrong. Manly in 1987 were by far the best team. Won the minor premiership 6 points ahead of second place Roosters on the ladder. Sea Eagles were always going to win that year. Eels finished seventh, three points outside the top 5. |

I have to agree with you but I sure hate seeing them win. Even with internals problems at the evils club they are still competitive.
