Haze Dunster, that is a name to look out for? Stefano Utoikamanu, why, he will not be with the Eels next season. Waste of time and let him develop more for the Tigers. I dont think it is a very good squad, a lot of pure reserve grade talent.

you know what I hate? Just let me tell you, I hate that Andrew Ryan who started out at the Eels and was a damn good player is a true dog. He is playing for them in the 9's. Anyway just thought I would share that meaningless news with you.

Anyway just thought I would share that meaningless news with you. Eels couldn't keep Andrew Ryan because of the cap, but another player that won a premiership elsewhere. 9's is just a bit of fun. I expect the Eels to make the finals. If they win, hopefully they won't be stripped of the title this time.

the only title the Eels have won in the last 35 years was striped off them, great management when we talk Eels. As I have said before, they finally have a great team but dont have a coach, how stupid is that? When will they finally get there act together and have have all stars aligned?

Won two 7's titles in 1997 and 2003. I remember when the Eels won the 7's in 1997 and Brian Smith held the trophy and said this trophy is what's to come, but that never happened. Only another 7's trophy six years later. That's embarrassing from a high profile coach. Let's hope the players this year, don't need the janitor for inspiration, game plan, motivation, confidence, fitness and any other thing a team needs. LOL

In 2018 the janitor ran the Eels raged before the season started. I think he over worked them. They sure had a lousy season.

Dont like the 9's Eels jersey, looks too St George like.

Dont like the 9's Eels jersey, looks too St George like. The janitor going from wooden spoon to the finals the following season would not happen with a decent coach. If the Eels this year miss the finals with the strike power they have, janitor will have to be sacked. Agree, the 9's jersey is all wrong, because the Eels are not the big blue V. Should use the 1981 design or something similar. Whoever is making the jersey designs at Parra should stop.

Actually Trent Robinson who is a damn good coach went from last to making the playoffs the next season. Not sticking up for the janitor in anyway, he sucks.

Jamie Soward (Premiership winner)
Parramatta will win the Nines. It's an early chance for the new guys to make a statement ahead of what is the Eels' biggest year since they last won the comp in '86. it is time to produce with one of the best rosters in the NRL.

Mary Konstantopoulos (Ladies Who League)
I hate to put the jinx on my own team, but I think the Nines presents a great opportunity for the Eels whose strength is their exciting, fast-paced attacking footy. Players like Clint Gutherson, Maika Sivo, Blake Ferguson and Mitch Moses are speedsters and I'm expecting the format to suit them.

Maria Tsialis (Big League editor)
It was a tight race between Brisbane and Parramatta but I think the Eels have the edge. I can't go past the speed of Blake Ferguson and Maika Sivo, plus their selection of mobile forwards like Ryan Matterson and Shaun Lane bodes well. With their big guns in attack making the trip west, they will be hard to beat.

Lone Scout (NRL.com Fantasy expert)
Three of the four Nines champions have featured a dominant half that won the player of the tournament (Adam Reynolds, Corey Norman and Connor Watson, with Shaun Johnson the MVP in the first Nines) so I'll tip the Eels with Mitch Moses pulling the strings after topping the NRL try assists tally last year.
who the hell is the Lone Scout?

Never heard of that person. 9's are just a bit of fun and the final result will never be remembered, but I think the Eels will go ok because they have numerous players that are good in open play. The janitor couldn't even coach 9 players in a team. He'll be there in Perth just to work on his tan.

I hope the Eels win, since they had the last title stripped off them. If they do win the janitor cant take any of the accolades, but I am sure he would. He has to look good to fool the front office that is clueless.
