I agree it is hard to compare teams of different eras, but I think the Eels had the best backline ever, they just lacked class in the forwards except for Price. The Raiders backline was almost as good as the Eels. The Raiders had a better forward pack than the Eels and that is why I rate them better.
1EyedEel is very boring so one dimensional and so narrow minded. I guess I had better go and support the Dogs???

The best dynasty's would be the following; Parramatta Eels 1981-1986 St George Dragons 1956-1966 South Sydney Rabbitohs 1967-1971 Manly Sea Eagles 1972-1978 Canterbury Bulldogs 1980-1988 Canberra Raiders 1989-1994 Brisbane Broncos 1992-2000 Melbourne Storm - Rorting the cap Sydney Roosters - Rorting the cap 1Eyed Eel is the place where you get torn apart for voicing an opinion. I hate that the Dogs had a better decade in the 80's than the Eels. But, I have been condemned to supporting them by the majority of Eels supporters, so I guess it is a good thing. I would hate to support the Dogs, I dont like there supporters at all. The Eels have some douses themself.

the Roosters will be a lot weaker without Mitchell.

the Roosters will be a lot weaker without Mitchell. Both Eels and Bulldogs won 4 premierships in the 80s, but the Eels won three in a row. No other club has achieved that since the Dragons great run of 11 in a row ended. Roosters will not have Latrell Mitchell and Cooper Cronk, but it really doesn't matter because the Eels can never beat the Storm.

The Eels could beat the Storm with an average coach, the team is good enough, all they need is someone even with quite poor coaching ability, he can pull off a Hagan, poor coach with great team.
Eels have a much better backline than the Roosters, now that Mitchell has left. Just fire that damn janitor and they seriously have a great chance.

The only way the Eels will win a title with this janitor coach, is if they have a champion player like Andrew Johns or Brad Fittler. A team that does not need micro management, but the current team unfortunately has to rely on the janitor. Interesting to see how the Eels go this year against a much weaker Roosters team. The Storm will remain strong as long as Cameron Smith is there.

Wow, I am amazed you gave the janitor some credit. You called him janitor coach. That man is nowhere near being a coach in anyway.
The game against the Rooster this coming season should be a humdinger, I give the Eels a chance. The biggest problem is the Roosters fullback, he killed the Eels last season and I would rate him the best player in the world at present.

The only credit I could give the toilet flusher was the signing of a few decent players, but in the end it was pointless because of a winning percentage of 58. If he were coaching the Roosters, they would have not made the grand final. James Tedesco is a good player and had an outstanding State of Origin series. All the good players end up at the Roosters, because there is no salary cap in Bondi.

I give the stupid janitor the same credit, he has got a great team to work with, now they need a coach.
Tedesco is amazing. He killed the Eels in the last 20 mins of the game last season. Here got 2 tries and the eels could not stop him. He will still be a huge problem when the Eels play the Roosters this year. Wouldnt it be good if the Eels had no salary cap???

I just can't see how the Eels can go from 58% in 2019 to winning a premiership this year? What will be the difference.... First three games should be interesting, Bulldogs at home and Titans and Cowboys, away. I bet the Eels lose to the Cowboys, always a hard trip that one. First two should be wins. Tedesco would only be half the player he is if the Roosters had a salary cap.

I dont think the dogs will be easybeats this season. Titans and Cowboys will both be better than last season. It could honestly be a poor start to the season since the Eels dont have a coach. There away record last season sucked.
Tedesco was an amazing player with the Tigers. I just think the guy is all class with amazing talent.

I honestly think the team to beat in 2020 is the Rabbits. They have recruited well and have a great coach.

I honestly think the team to beat in 2020 is the Rabbits. They have recruited well and have a great coach. I'm not getting carried away anymore at the start of the season, but if you compare both teams for Round 1, Eels should convincingly win. Predicted line-ups EELS 1.Clint Gutherson 2.Maika Sivo 3.Michael Jennings 4.Waqa Blake 5.Blake Ferguson 6.Dylan Brown 7.Mitchell Moses 8.Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9.Reed Mahoney 10.Junior Paulo 11.Shaun Lane 12.Ryan Matterson 13.Nathan Brown 14.Brad Takairangi 15.Kane Evans 16.Marata Niukore 17.Daniel Alvaro BULLDOGS 1.Dallin Watene-Zelezniak1.Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 2.Nick Meaney 3.Will Hopoate 4.Reimis Smith 5.Jayden Okunbor 6.Jack Cogger 7.Lachlan Lewis 8.Aiden Tolman 9.Jeremy Marshall-King 10.Dylan Napa 11.Corey Harawira-Naera 12.Josh Jackson 13.Adam Elliott 14.Joe Stimson 15.Raymond Faitala-Mariner 16.Renouf To'omaga 17.Sione Katoa I agree about the Bunnies, good coach and have recruited well. Eels only beat them in 2019, because their Origin players were out, but it was still a decent performance by the Eels.
