The Eels offense is starting to look like early last season, BUT can they maintain that for the rest of the season? Last season they proved they couldnt so why would anything be different this season? The flushing dunce spent the second half of last season concentrating on defense and couldnt get that right. They still have to learn to be an 80 minute team as well. Things are looking ok at present but there is no evidence of it continuing from previous seasons. There are differences this year which we have never seen before, but finals football I believe will be no different. Eels could be top 4 this year, definitely if they beat the top sides (Roosters soon), but you and I don't rate the janitor. Let's wait and see how they go against the top sides during the regular season before we give a final prediction.

even if they win the minor premiership they will crash and burn in the playoffs. the playoffs are a different kettle of fish to the regular season and the Eels have nothing, and show nothing. Even if they start well they still crash and burn. I dont think the flushing maniac can get 80 mins out of them. The second half of last season where they concentrated on defense was a massive failure because the flushing dunce is clueless.

EELS LAUNCH CHASE FOR ORIGIN STAR
Parramatta are in the market for a strike outside back are reportedly keen on luring Rabbitohs and Queensland Origin star Dane Gagai to the club.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the Eels — who have been previously been linked to Kotoni Staggs — turned their attention to Gagai after meeting with him this week.
The 30-year-old is coming off a four-year contract with South Sydney and is one of the hottest names on the market.
He’s played 210 NRL games over stints with the Broncos, Knights and Rabbitohs as well as representing Queensland 16 times and Australia seven times.
Gagai could be squeezed out of the Rabbitohs due to salary cap pressure and has previously been linked to a return to the Broncos.
Gagai is currently the game’s most expensive winger, earning around $650,000, however he can also play in the centres. If Rabbitohs skipper Adam Reynolds ends up re-signing on a one-year deal, the club reportedly won’t have the cash to re-sign Gagai.
It’s understood the Eels are eyeing Gagai as a replacement for off-contract winger Blake Ferguson, who was informed by the club late last year that he wouldn’t be offered a new deal beyond 2021.

If the Eels beat the Dogs that will be 7 wins from 8, not a bad start and already a third of the way into the season. The janitor will eventually fall though, it's inevitable. I'd even give Manly a chance in beating the Eels, because Turbo Tom has made a big difference and with DCE still there watch out. When the Eels play a team with a stand out player, that's when they lose, like Souths with Adam Reynolds.
