the sod takes about a week to establish itself, the markings dont take long to do, why dont they move there first home game to there? The schedule has already been put in place, but your suggestion would be better. Imagine turning up to the first game at the new ground 0-5. The fans wouldn't be in high spirits. |

I serious hope the Eels dont start the season like last season, but who knows they havent recruited all that well and have a lousy coach who is totally devoid of a plan B if plan A doesnt work.

I've had enough of going into every season with hopes high. Might as well do the opposite and expect the worst. That way, I won't be disappointed. Less than a week till the Eels first game. |

I think they will do OK this season actually. I think you may get surprised. Anyway after coming last and with not much recruitment I am not surprised you dont hold out much hope.

yes I was over the top gutted, I had too much to drink and boy did I take it bad. It hurts more if it is the dogs or manly.

I remember the last 10 minutes and I knew the Bulldogs would hold on in defence. Just shut the game down. Cronin had a chance to level the scores, but missed the penalty goal. |

Norman was a hindrance. I was never that keen on him, he did have some good games but never played well when it really counted. This young guy Brown may end up being a sensation. Ferguson is no Semi, but not a bad replacement. OK, I am trying to be positive.

no I was not at the game, I watched it on TV. I was at the 1981 grand final, that was sensational.
Cronin sometimes wasnt the best of goal kickers in big games.

I have a feeling the young guys in the team will excel. The last time we had a bit of good young talent was in the late 70's and look what happened in the 80's. most of the young guys that have come through the ranks ever since have been garbage. I think these young guys might be good ones. Hey I want to think positive.
