They would have won the spoon except for new teams in the competition. On paper they were the worst team. I will bet that when a new team enters the competition they will do better than the Eels if the Eels still have the flushing fool. The team s close to the end of its chance at doing something big but cant achieve it because that damn flushing fool is in the way.

The new Brisbane team will do well, a team in a popular league city and will attract decent players. Maybe the Brisbane Bombers, Dolphins, Ipswich Jets or whatever they're supposed to be can dominate Brisbane over the Broncos and Storm. Eels will witness another new arrival win a premiership before the Eels win again.

The Broncos were strong from the start, I am sure a new team will be as well. I agree another new team will win before the Eels do. What is the Brisbane competition like?

The Brisbane competition hasn't been the same since the Broncos. Remember on Rugby League Grandstand that forum there was a section for the Brisbane teams and many of those fans hated the Broncos with a passion. You could say the Broncos killed the BRL. Here is a grand final from the 70's with a decent crowd. Notice the comment made 4 years ago by TokeE420. Brisbane clubs should have been allowed to join the nrl instead of forming the broncos. Its sad how Brisbane has just as many Rugby League clubs as Melbourne an AFL city.

No foresight by a group of amateurs that run the NRL. They thought they were smart adding those teams from Qld but didnt give any regard for the whole Brisbane competition that fizzled out. The NRL never makes good long term decisions.

The NRL never makes good long term decisions. That's a good point!! When the BRL fizzled out, where did all their players end up? Not all of them could have played for the Broncos and I don't recall many Queenslanders playing for Sydney teams in the late 80's to mid 90's. They must have stayed in a mediocre sub standard competition and gone to waste instead of joining the two competitions. Could of had two conferences and a state of origin super bowl.

Before 1988 the BRL must have been super strong, they had some brilliant players. The Broncos put an end to that. The Broncos were very strong right from the start. Amazing that they came last in 2020. That may never happen again.

Broncos are struggling with life after Bennett and they haven't developed another superstar since Darren Lockyer, although Storm are tapping into the city of Brisbane, a city with heaps of junior's. Storm should move to Brisbane and can be the second team. The BRL by the look of those YouTube clips had quality players. I think John Lang and John Ribot featured in those grand finals.

the funny thing is that the Broncos wanted to get rid of Bennett, that would be regarded as an Eels style move. You watch the Rabbits this year, they are a very strong chance at the title. Why would anyone want to purposely get rid of Bennett? I wish he would coach the Eels, notice how I said coach.

Why would anyone want to purposely get rid of Bennett? I wish he would coach the Eels, notice how I said coach. On 2 December 2018, Bennett was officially sacked as coach of the Brisbane Broncos following a bitter dispute with Broncos officials. He was then signed up to coach the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the 2019 season and beyond.
On 4 December 2018, Bennett spoke to the media about his sacking saying "You don’t get the chance to say goodbye to anybody when they sack you and they tell you not to come back to the building", Bennett said. "But that’s alright. That’s all fine. We’ll all get over it. I was happy to be sacked. Just leave it at that. I was happy".Maybe the Broncos thought Bennett was getting too old? I don't know what their reasoning was, but he was better than Seibold, that guy was useless. Souths are a decent team under Bennett, they were beaten by a very enthusiastic Panthers team last year which was very hard to beat. Panthers were playing out of their skin and oozed with confidence and it took a superstar team like the Storm to defeat them.

Souths were the winners and the Broncos were the loser big time. Brnnett just keeps on keeping on, Qld would not have won the SOO without him. My tip for this year is a Rabbits vs Storm GF.

Definitely Storm again unless Cameron Smith gets injured. I'm going Storm v Raiders. Ricky Stuart might get the Raiders into the grand final again unless they meet the Storm before the grand final. Eels will finish 10th on the ladder and the dunny man will get another contract with a decent bonus for end of financial year. This toilet flusher will be able to retire at 55 and live comfortable after delivering nothing. What a loser!!

I would say Cameron Smith is gone from the Storm but I still think the Storm are good enough with Bellamy. This will be there last good year.
How old is the flushing fool? Since he will not get fired by the fools in the front office maybe he will retire soon? The sooner he is gone the better, but they are going to have to start rebuilding the team soon as well.

Cameron Smith is the NRL's Tom Brady. Win a premiership with Smith in your team as captain. Champion player!! Bellamy wants Smith's last game to be in either Brisbane or Melbourne. Not Sydney because of Sydney media. This flushing fraud will never retire, he's not even 50 years old and making good money every year. He'll eventually be exposed for the fraud he is, but he'll rort the club for as long as he can. 7 years and not even a preliminary final. Can't anyone see this??

Cameron Smith would be the Australian GOAT. The flushing bandit is not even a smart man but he pulls the wool over the eyes of the management. What does that tell you about the front office?
