unfortunately we will not see that again. The salary cap put paid to that. Also the Eels had there act together then, they could see potential in up and coming players, that hasnt happened for a long time now.

We only want one from Parra anyway. 1 is better than 0, especially when we have been waiting 3 decades.

I will be happy with 1 premiership, but I would love to see the Eels as a dominant team each year like the Storm. I just dont think that is possible, as the Storm are very well run and the Eels are average at best, with an average coach.

Brilliantly run club. Great staff, coaches, players and financial backing. If the salary cap was taken away, the Storm would be the most successful club in the next few decades. Roosters would be up there too.

just read we are now on a 3 year plan. Welcome to the Eels. Firstly I would get rid of the coach. The Storm and Roosters never have to go on a 3 or 5 year plan.

Roosters and Storm have been on a successful 15 year plan. I wouldn't mind one of those. Since 2002, both sides have appeared in a combined 14 Grand Finals. Includes 2007 and 2009 - Storm titles stripped.

I wouldnt mind the Eels being a perennial playoff side, with chances of winning the big one each year. That is a far cry from where they are now. I seriously dont know if they have the talent in the front office for this new 3 year plan? They have not shown me anything quite frankly.

Parra rely on others instead of themselves - super league war, Brian Smith, Jarryd Hayne. Have they actually gone out of their way to build a proper club that functions competitively every season? Just sit around waiting for the next Sterlo and Kenny instead of making it happen.

the fact that they sit around waiting for the next Sterlo and Kenny says it all. There would not be another team that have had such poor halves for the past 30 years.

You can include New Zealand in that list. When did the Titans begin?
The Titans have been huge underachievers. They have had pretty decent teams since inception but always do poorly as is the case this year. I would have to say there current coach is worse than BA.

Two losing Grand Finals. Titans began in 2007. There was a Gold Coast team before the Titans, 1988-1998. Titans coach - Garth Brennan. Who the hell is that? Playing career Born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, Brennan played his junior rugby league for the Western Suburbs Rosellas. In the 1990s, he played for the Rosellas and Waratah-Mayfield in the Newcastle Rugby League, primarily at fullback. Wikipedia

BA is a bit of a nobody, that Brennan is a total nobody, even though I guess some people in Newcastle would know who he is.

you know, I have to agree with you. I just dont think BA is a very good coach. Why on earth would they sign him for 2 more years of his garbage? We want get the wooden spoon this year, but it wouldnt surprise me if we did in the next 2 years.
