The most wins they got in a row last season was 3, which is quite pathetic for a team who made the GF. The way they played against the Panthers they could beat anyone but they would have to be the most inconsistent team in the NRL. The difference between when they play well and when they play bad is huge.
I hope Shaun Lane is back this week?

The difference between when they play well and when they play bad is huge. I hope Shaun Lane is back this week? Poor defence makes it difficult to win more than 3 in a row. Last year had some embarrassing moments, losing to teams on the bottom of the ladder like the Bulldogs was terrible to watch. And already off to a bad start this season with the exception of the Panthers win. Parramatta are set to be without star forward Shaun Lane for the opening five rounds after the back-rower completed surgery on his jaw. |

There defense was good against the Panthers but the previous 3 weeks it was horrific. I would bet on the fact that it will probably be horrific more often than not for the rest of the season.
What is up with the expensive hooker the Eels bought, you know the guy they pay more for than Mahoney, is he going to be playing first grade or is he going to be a backup to Hands?
