It is a struggle when you support the Eels but the problems with the club are of major concern. I am usually a pretty positive person but that is hard to do when you support the Eels.
There glory days are a long way in the past, and the emperor is gone but the front office ever since has been a who's who of failure. Mediocrity is too easily accepted at this club, and they get plenty of that.

Decent performance tonight. Finally the Eels defence was solid only letting in two tries.
Talking points -
* Strong defence, Panthers did make decent ground in numerous sets but the Eels swamped them.
* Moses wins the game with a field goal in extra time. One trick finally stepped up and won the game.
* Eels forwards made good ground, especially the front rowers.
* Made only a few errors.
* Janitor is a dud.
* Dylan Brown kick leads to Eels first try. Need to see more of this.

That was a good performance and good game to watch. I thought coming up to halftime the Eels showed glimpses of what we had seen the previous 3 weeks and I really had a feeling that it was the end of them, but to there credit that hung tough in the second half and pulled a panther out of a hat. One trick actually played some quality football against a quality half. I did think both the Panthers tries were quite soft but at least they only leaked 2 tries. There ball handling was actually very solid, that is hardly ever the case. Dylan Brown set up the first try, but where the hell was he for the rest of the game? The turd has no emotion, did look happy at all after that win. What team will show up against the Roosters?
Why did they play like that in Oct 2022 and they had a better team?  |
