Eels were lucky to be in the GF and they have no hope of being a better team in 2023. It was said this year, that 2022 was the Eels best chance, but now with Mahoney and Papail'i gone, the Eels will struggle up front. I can't see them gaining from grand final experience and improving to go one better next year. And if history is anything to go by, Eels were ordinary in 2002 and 2010, straight after grand finals. |

The Eels were always going to go backwards in 2023. It will be a huge fall from a GF participant.
I guess the turd is sitting pretty for at least the next 5 years, regardless of results. All the club should rally around to get rid of the turd.

But the difference between the two grand final teams was a lot and the Eels easy finals run didn't convince me. |
