Peter Sterling was at it again and it signalled a Parramatta victory.
Against a semi-final bound Canberra, at Seiffert Oval, Sterling's performance was remarkable. That it followed his five star display against Easts the week before made it even more outstanding.
Out of the running for the semi-finals, Parramatta produced their second giant-killing performance in as many weeks, with Sterling receiving plenty of support from an Eels' team hungry to make up for their disappointing season.
Sterling bamboozled Canberra with a pinpoint accurate kicking game and with his precisely timed passes that found supporting team-mates time after time.
Canberra led 4-0 after 5 minutes but that was it for them for the day. Parramatta rookie Danny Crnkovich set things in motion with a try after 12 minutes and after that there was no looking back.
