Round 21, 1976: Parramatta 14 d Easts 7
Big League 21st - 27th August, 1976
Parramatta stepped into the top three for the finals with a great 14-7 win over Easts at Cumberland last Sunday. The Eels scored two tries to one and led 9-7 at halftime. All three tries came from high kicks, Moran and Price scoring for Parramatta and Fairfax scoring for Easts. Easts were in front for only two minutes of the match. They led 5-4 in the 21st minute when Fairfax scored. The loss casts doubt on Easts final hopes and they must beat Norths this weekend. Graham Olling had an outstanding match for the Eels and kept Arthur Beetson quiet. A 12-5 second half scrum win by Ron Hilditch was the major factor in the win.
