Parramatta's great defensive record
in the past seven weeks has taken
them to clear second on the premiership
table.
Last Sunday at Redfern they downed
Souths 18-4, leaving them unbeaten
in their past seven matches.
In those seven, they've conceded
only 48 points and only two tries in
their past three clashes.
Souths played well for a time, but
made too many inexcusable errors.
Parramatta's first try in the 44th
minute was a direct result of a dropped
ball and winger Neville Glover kicked
ahead twice to score.
John Peard was one of Parramatta's
best. He scored a try and kicked six
goals in muddy conditions.
