Ray Mercy is an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s. He played for Parramatta Eels and the North Queensland Cowboys in the Australian Rugby League, Super League (Australia) and NRL competitions.
Playing career
Mercy made his first grade debut for Parramatta in Round 7 1995 coming off the bench against Auckland in a 40-4 loss at Parramatta Stadium. Mercy played 9 games for Parramatta in his debut season which were all losses as the club endured one of their worst ever years on the field finishing second last and only winning 3 matches out of a possible 22 games. At the end of 1995, Mercy was released by Parramatta as the club was looking to rebuild for the 1996 season.
