Featherstone Rovers halfback (1960-64) perfected the 'Cumberland throw' at Parramatta - the legal fling of an opposing player using an outstretched leg. Lingard later coached the club's U'23s in 1975.

Ivor Lingard (birth registered first ¼ 1942) is an English former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s, and coached in the 1970s. He played at club level for Featherstone Rovers (Heritage № 419) and the Parramatta Eels (Heritage № 224), as a stand-off or scrum-half, i.e. number 6, or 7, and coached at Parramatta Eels (Under-23s in 1975).
