I think the season will start up again in about 2 months. It will be interesting to see how that approach the season, it it just continues on as normal or if they just play every team once. Maybe play every team once. Can't have the season ending in December, the weather would be too hot. Are the players still training? Can't be done if they have to self isolate.

I think the players are doing what they can do at home. I doubt that is good enough though. All the players will be out of breath after 10 minutes into the game. The rest of the game will suck.

I'm starting to think the season is over. We're still in lockdown and if this goes on until the middle of the year then the season is a complete write off. The grave digger won't deliver a premiership. If it's been 34 years since a premiership then the Eels need to do something entirely different, especially different to the last 10 years. Haven't found a champion player in three decades that could deliver a title and no CEO that can run the place to perfection.

I havent given up hope on the season yet, but it will probably be a shortened season and whoever wins the title it isnt a true title.
The grave digger seemed quite inept, hopefully he can prove me wrong.

The NRL said it hoped to be back on the field by July 1 and was seriously considering some outlandish ideas to get players back on the field amid the global pandemic.
Moving the whole competition to Gladstone in central Queensland, or to Tangalooma — on the picturesque Moreton Island off the Queensland coast — to keep the players quarantined, remains on the table.
"We haven't ruled anything out and we'd be crazy to rule out anything at this point in time because there's so much uncertainty," Greenberg said.
"There's still a model on the table of an aggregated position where you put all 16 clubs in one location.
"There are risks and opportunities with every model — Gladstone was one, there was another one on an island where we would put all the players and we would transport them back.
"All of those things are in consideration, but they're tricky, some of them have got risks associated with medical care and how you put the players in one place."
Interesting, but I doubt it will happen. Grave digger and the janitor (sounds like a 70's cop show) have failed already, look at this season. Both a jinx!!

why doesnt the NRL do it earlier than that if they want to do it?
If the grave digger was worth his metal as an administrator he would get rid of the janitor now and there is time for a new coach to get acquainted and blend in.

I think the season will be a write off, you can basically kiss the season goodbye. Where is the vaccine? An article today said, Australia will be in lockdown until Christmas and social distancing measures could be in place for the next 2 years. By the way, I'm not sure who is responsible for the virus, Trump or China, but I'm convinced it was man made straight out of a lab. The football gods have already written off the grave digger with a start like this. This guy and the janitor will never succeed.

now that damn Wayne Pearce is talking about starting the season afresh, so those 2 wins will be stripped of the Eels.

Coronavirus NRL updates: Pearce floats option of resetting ladder
Author NRL.com
ARL Commissioner Wayne Pearce has floated the option of resetting the Telstra Premiership ladder, one of many ideas being considered by the Innovations Committee as it looks to reschedule the season.
Pearce, who is heading up the committee, told the Sydney Morning Herald that they would consider scrapping the competition points earned over the first two rounds of the season before the Telstra Premiership was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson, Raiders CEO Don Furner, RLPA CEO Clint Newton, former politician Troy Grant, NRL chief commercial officer Andrew Abdo, NRL chief corporate affairs officer Liz Deegan and NRL head of football Graham Annesley are also on the committee.
Parramatta, Newcastle, Brisbane, Canberra, Penrith and Melbourne kicked off their campaigns with back-to-back victories while the Roosters began their quest for a threepeat with successive losses, while Cronulla, Canterbury, the Warriors, Titans and St George Illawarra are also winless.
The theoretical resetting of the ladder would potentially be an option as the rescheduled competition is likely to be split into two equal conferences of eight.
Under that scenario, teams would only play against the other sides in their conference as clubs would operate in a "bubble" environment to protect players and staff from contracting the virus.
This is stupid. Wayne Pearce is a jackass.

If the lockdown will continue over the next few months, then how is football going to continue? We haven't even had a trial run of the removal of the lockdown yet. These guys haven't even considered the worse case scenario. Wayne Pearce is in an important role? Next we'll be getting advice from Garry Jack and Steve Roach.

Bring back Balmain, will be next on the agenda. You did forget Ben Elias, he is highly opinionated.
I dont get the logic of removing what is already done.
