If the Eels sign Flanagan as assistant coach there maybe some hope, otherwise this is a disaster of immense proportions.

That means 3 more years of finals failure!! Beating the Storm twice and they didn't even make the grand final and only losing to the Panthers by 2 points but it was still a loss and the end of the Eels season saved the janitor from the axe. How can the club resign when this coach hasn't made a Preliminary in 8 years?  ? I know what the club is thinking, but they're wrong, "Eels are getting closer to winning a Premiership" |

They need new young talent and that is not coming through. The Best playerd they have are not the best in there position in the NRL except for maybe Mahoney. I could almost put Papali'i up there too after the season he had. The Eels just dont have the best offensive weapons and that hurts them. Anyway I am so pissed off at the Eels right now for keeping that waste of money flushing prick on for even longer. Did the front office see the team for the 6 weeks running up to the Storm game? They are pathetic. I dont think the emperor would have come up with such a lousy decision as this one. |

Next year the Bunnies without Bennett and Reynolds won't be grand final bound, but that still leaves Storm and Panthers. Eels managed to beat Storm but still struggled to overcome the Panthers. Do we wait for every team to weaken and then we are a chance? That does happen every year, but Eels need all three teams struggling. Front office can't attract any decent coach anyway, the janitor has that going for him. |
