They have a great hooker and fullback and that is it. This season is an exact copy of last season. The flushing pretender has been found out by the NRL world. The Eels are done. I would not be surprised if they failed to make the playoffs from this point. Agree, they'll struggle from now on even against the weaker teams. They didn't even show up against the Rabbitohs, that wasn't first grade defence, it was embarrassing from the start. Eels are mentally weak against the better teams and who is coaching really does show.

it is funny that the Eels are actually a glamor club. They have no coach and the front office is run by a fool. The most poorly run club, but it is situated in a great area for support, middle Sydney is propably the most populated part of Sydney so that is how they get to be a glamor club, but dont deserve to be.

The Eels are a glamour club because they're so popular (heaps of fans) and produced a number of champion players in the 80s that are still well known today. That decade made the club what it is today, famous but no success. Penrith could win 5 grand finals in a row but be forgotten in years to come, name one celebrity or TV personality who supports them. Yes, SOO is upon us and Mahoney made the QLD team and Paulo NSW. Gutherson did not make the side. I might support QLD, I live in the State but also don't take Origin as serious as club football.

I dont care that much about origin. There are plenty of good games but I prefer the Eels players not being picked to play, due to getting injured. I am glad that Grant got picked ahead of Mahoney. Mahoney is the Eels 2nd best player and we need him.

6. Parramatta Eels (4)
One of the wheels has fallen off; I'm not sure which wheel yet. Defensively, the last two weeks they've made some poor reads and been disconnected.
They've struggled in attack too. I know Parramatta scored 20 points on Saturday, but South Sydney are conceding an average of 22.6 points per match.
The Eels have been up for a while and are probably looking forward to a rest, but they haven't been good enough to compete with the big guns.
