I dont like the look of Shaun Lane this year, he is nowhere near the player he was in his first season at the Eels. Maybe he needs to grow his hair back? I really do like the look of Papali'i, and Junior has been better than last season.
The Sharks have always been a tough team for the Eels, I hope they beat the Raiders today, and I agree with you I think they will beat the Eels. So far I have not tipped the Eels so I am doing lousy in the tipping comp.

So far I have not tipped the Eels so I am doing lousy in the tipping comp. Lane and one trick both make me nervous every time they touch the ball, they're not confident players. Junior and Papli'i will add a lot of strength to the forwards, I'm glad the Eels have those two players. Raiders are beating the Sharks 12-0, early second half. If the Eels play their best next week, they should beat the Sharks, but they could start ordinary because they're playing a team they should beat.

Lane does not deserve in place at present he needs to improve out of sight. I will bet the anal flusher doesnt see that. Papali'i should start the game in the second row and put Lane in reserve grade. I think the best player in the team at present is Reed Mahoney. I would rate him the best hooker in the game at present.
The Sharks should have won that game but they missed too many goals. Lucky win by the Raiders.

Reed Mahoney is realising his potential Parramatta hooker Reed Mahoney is another player who is taking his game to another level early in the new season.
Ever since he burst onto the first-grade scene he has been defensively rock solid, but his attack has gone to another level to start the new season.
The control and grittiness Parramatta displayed in hanging with the Storm on a wet night to kick off Round 2 shows just how far the blue and gold have come, but a lot of that wouldn’t have been possible without the control and decision-making on display from their No. 9.
While he topped the tackle count with 59 in the match, he also ran the ball a handful of times, had a try assist and was generally dangerous in creating for Parramatta. The performance only followed up a try and another topping of the tackle count in the opening round. Advertisement
Mahoney becoming a multi-dimensional player at both ends of the park will only help the Eels along as they attempt to take the next step, while the hooker himself could well put his hand up for a potential spot in the Maroons squad come Origin time with continued impressive performances.

Drops the ball too many times. Mahoney's running game especially from dummy half is awesome and getting better, agree, definitely the best hooker in the game. What about the Roosters!! Once again their for and against looks good thanks to their offence, don't know how the Eels will beat them? Probably go the distance for 50 minutes and then get blown away.

The Eels are the 50 to 60 minute masters of the game, They did pley for 80 minutes last game but that is so rare.
Mahoney even though he was really good last season would be the most improved player in the team, next would be Sivo and Ferguson. Paulo has to get a mention as well.
