I think the team has gone backwards since mid season and the ship will keep sinking. Too many teams will be better next season with decent coaches. The Eels have a decent enough team if they get no injuries, but lack backups and dont have a coach. Everything is going against the Eels.

Eels don't have any champion players knocking on their door. Look how easy it was for the Roosters to get Tedesco. Teddy knew the Roosters were the real thing with a decent coach and he's already won a premiership. The entire NRL know the janitor is a dud, they just don't talk about it. Or they do it in an indirect way, the Eels are soft says Phil Gould, this would be directed at the coach, not just the players.

The Eels soft underbelly is directly attributed to the flushing fool. The fact that the flushing fool stated that the team was only concentrating on defense and they couldnt even get that right, sums up the flushing fools capability. He is purely inept, but, unfortunately our opinion doesnt matter. He keeps fooling the ones that do matter. What does that say about them as the flushing fool is definitely not a smart man?

His interviews have no reasoning. We lost because we didn't apply ourselves, we weren't fully committed. I could say that!! He states the obvious but has no reason why. We all know the reason why is him, but we keep on playing this game of hide and seek with the coach. Eels have had too many losers in the coaches box over the past 15 years. Current situation - 2021 GAINS Bryce Cartwright (Gold Coast Titans, 2021), Keegan Hipgrave (Gold Coast Titans, 2022), David Hollis (2021), Joey Lussick (Salford Red Devils, 2021), Michael Oldfield (Canberra Raiders, 2021), Tom Opacic (North Queensland Cowboys, 2021), Isaiah Papali'i (New Zealand Warriors, 2022), Nathaniel Roache (New Zealand Warriors, 2021) 2021 LOSSES Andrew Davey (Manly Sea Eagles), Rhys Davies (released), Kane Evans (New Zealand Warriors), Jai Field (Wigan Warriors), David Gower (retired), Watson Heleta (released), George Jennings (Melbourne Storm), Ethan Parry (released), Jaeman Salmon (released), Kyle Schneider (released), Brad Takairangi (released), Peni Terepo (released), Stefano Utoikamanu (Wests Tigers) RE-SIGNED Dylan Brown (2023), Nathan Brown (2021), Michael Jennings (2022), Oregon Kaufusi (2022), Shaun Lane (2023), Reed Mahoney (2022), Marata Niukore (2022), Will Smith (2021) OFF CONTRACT 2021 Daniel Alvaro, Nathan Brown, Bryce Cartwright, Haze Dunster, Blake Ferguson, David Hollis, Samuel Hughes, Joey Lussick, Michael Oldfield, Tom Opacic, Jordan Rankin, Nathaniel Roache, Maika Sivo, Will Smith, Ray Stone

I bet Maika Sivo gets a huge Union contract so next season will be his last. Kane Evans is a big loss because he was playing well for the past 2 seasons. I think the Eels are going to be weaker next season. Poor signings so lack of depth. If they dont get any injuries they will probably be alright, but I am tipping that they dont make the playoffs, and the flushing fool gets fired, I hope.

Fergo took 17 games to score a try!! No wonder the Eels want Fergo gone. Kane Evans went OK, and Jai Field didn't last long. George Jennings to the Storm, obviously no salary cap there and he'll probably win a premiership next year. Eels won't make the finals, a very tough draw unless they can beat the top teams which I doubt. The janitor's record against the best teams would be the worst. I might have a look at that. Last 8 years how have the Eels gone against the top sides.

BS had a great record against the Broncos who were a class side then. Any side with any type of class now, is guaranteed a win against this flushing fool imposter. The draw next season is too tough for a coaching imposter, so the Eels will not be at the pointy end next season.
Letting Taka just go is quite pathetic. He is a quality player and deserves better than what he got from the Eels.

Brian Smith when he was at the Eels could beat Wayne Bennett, but that 1998 game against the Bulldogs prevented a grand final appearance against the Broncos. What could have been? I guess we'll never know. Taka was a good player, but I guess over time he became less of a starting player.

Taka was not a starting player any longer but I think that was due more about the flushing fool not having the foresight to see his talent. He was wasted at the Eels. I hope someone who appreciates him sign him up.
That loss to the ****ing dogs was disgusting and embarrassing. It was a hard one to live down.

I could understand Taka being released for a decent signing, but that's not the case. Eels have signed a bunch of no names along with Bryce Cartwright. Flushing fool couldn't attract a champion player. Even the Cowboys lured Thurston from the Bulldogs, a decent club at the time. That loss in 1998 was unforgivable. Leading by 16 points with 11 minutes to go. I can understand conceding two tries in the final ten minutes, but not three.

In 98 all you have to do is remember who coached the Eels and the answer is simple. I think Taka is better than Jennings so I dont understand the logic?

I was at the game and the wave went around the ground as the Bulldogs fans lost interest thinking they were gone and all of a sudden they scored, and then again and again. I left the ground with a look on my face that said, WTF just happened?? One minute I'm thinking grand final, the next the season was over. Interesting to see the Eels best 17 released early in the year. Gutherson will be the Eels best followed by Paulo. I'd like to see the Eels halves have a better season. I guess life goes on after Taka??

Life goes on after Taka, he isnt the greatest player ever and replaceable, but I doubt the flushing fool can find a replacement. I do wonder if Jennings will even be with the team anyway after his drug test failure? Only the E4ls. On the subject of only the Eels, the loss to the Dogs in 98 could only ever happen to the Eels. what other teams have you ever seen lose that way?

Jennings will still be with the Eels, but maybe facing a match ban for several weeks? I'm not sad to see Taka go, cause he's not going to deliver a premiership. Eels break all sorts of bad records, giving up the biggest lead (18 points) in a finals match which happened in 1997. I was at that game, leading 20-2 and lost to the Knights. A game of two halves.

it sucks when the team you support only breaks records that you dont want to know about.
The 2001 GF was a game of 2 halves as well, the trouble was that the Eels were too far behind at halftime.
