A few teams would be chasing him, but like you said the rorters will keep him. Easy to keep someone when you dont have to go by the rules. He's mad if he goes to the Titans!! How could such a gifted and brilliant player end up there? Maybe at the end of his career when he's past his best, but for now he should only play for the best teams, which I'm sure will pay heaps, especially the Sydney Rorters.

The thing is that there may be internal problems that we know nothing about?? Money talks, no matter what the team is like.

The thing is that there may be internal problems that we know nothing about?? Money talks, no matter what the team is like. He's only 22 and already won 2 premierships. Not a bad start to his career, but sign with the Titans and he'll never win again, but like you say, money talks. Zero Tackle Eels set to announce two more signatures Parramatta are reportedly set to lock down two more players! Parramatta are on the cusp of re-signing hooker Reed Mahoney and backrower Shaun Lane on long-term deals, according to The Daily Telegraph. It comes just days after the Eels locked down Michael Jennings, Oregon Kaufusi and Dylan Brown in a a sweep of key signatures. The club is reportedly hopeful of securing Mahoney and Lane by Christmas or early in the new year. The pair are off contract at the end of next season and there is a mutual desire between them and the club to stay put. Paramatta officials would not comment on the contract negotiations or the value of them but confirmed that talks had begun. It is believed that Mahoney and Lane are the club’s two key priorities of players off contract and they have spoken to their agents about staying at Bankwest Stadium. George Jennings, Kane Evans, Brad Takairangi and Will Smith are also off-contract and reportedly playing for their future.

ok, the grave digger is doing quite well at his job so far. Will not have to dig his own grave just yet.
Mitchell already has 2 more GF wins than Hindmarsh who had an illustrious career. If he signs for the money it will not matter if he never wins again.

Not only is he re-signing good players, but these players haven't even been approached by other clubs!! That is very true about Mitchell. He has already climbed that mountain (achieved success), so accepting a contract for bigger money with a weaker team is definitely not out of the question. Partying on the Gold Coast while drinking cocktails and counting his money, not having to worry about the stress of premierships. What a life!! That's where the Janitor should be too.

The grave digger has definitely got bonus points for now but he has to keep up the good work.
There are plenty of toilets with all those apartments and hotels on the Gold Coast, the janitor would never be short of work. I wouldnt blame Michell for going to the Gold Coast, fun times for a young guy and stress free with a huge pay packet, not bad at all.

Funny if the Grave Digger punted the Janitor, but I can't see it happening, because there would be a player revolt. The players like this guy for some odd reason. Lose the toilet flusher and Gutho and co might get upset, so his contract will not be torn up mid season. I'm telling you, another 5 years of the Janitor. Good players and coaches don't take that long to win premierships, but the Janitor has already done 5 years.

no no no on the 5 more years, it cant possibly happen? Janitors have a very narrow skill level, great with toilets, no complaints there at all, very lousy with pretending to be a coach. Wooden spoons prove my point. The only reason why the players would revolt if he got fires is because the janitor doesnt expect perfection so they are on easy street. The janitor cant possibly expect perfection because he would have zero idea on how to achieve it.

Des Hasler ripped off the door in the dressing room at Parramatta Stadium, when Manly lost to Parra after leading 20-0. Whereas, the Janitor just gives dumb replies in his interviews after a loss. No way would the Janitor show anger after a disgraceful loss when he cannot win a title. Hopefully the Grave Digger has assessed the Janitor and already made a decision on him.

does the janitor know what anger is other than if someone doesnt clean one of his toilets well enough???
In all honesty does the grave digger know anything about rugby league or does he have advisors?

During the interview, it looks like he's second guessing when talking about anything. Decent coaches have a look of certainty. Grave Digger is a young man trying to make an impression. Haven't seen enough of him to make an accurate assessment. We need an interview. Nothing on YouTube.

He always has the same look on his face. He doesnt have much personality, not that that is a requirement, I guess you could say the same about Wayne Bennett.
Grave digger has done well so far but the job is still new, time will tell. That CEO we had when the Eels made the GF in 2009 was on a high for a little while but got found out after some time.

Wayne Bennett sometimes comes across as a cranky old man, but he has so much football knowledge and respect from his players. The Janitor has neither, cause if the players really did respect the Janitor, they would put in a decent effort every week. Wasn't Paul Osbourne the CEO in 2009 after Fitzgerald got punted mid year? Another dud!! Eels have surely had some terrible bosses, that can't win anything.

yes it was Paul Osbourne, a total dud that played off the back of the Eels making the GF.
Bennett is one of the best coaches in NRL history, with no personality.

Paul Osbourne didn't last long either. A complete dud. Eels need to stop employing these useless and short term CEO's. Wayne Bennett is definitely up there with Jack Gibson. Two great coaches that also had a positive impact on their players off the field.
