He did great with Manly, there is no doubting that, but I dont think he was a good CEO of the NSWRL. He had too much bias and never really looked at a bigger picture, like all the fools that have come since him. There is a much bigger picture that they all find impossible to grasp?? Wouldnt that possibly be a part of there job description? They all fail massively at it. Arko was loyal to the game and fought against Super League and I respect him for that and the game was the best it had ever been in the early to mid 90's. I agree he was biased towards Manly, but since he left the administration, Manly have still succeeded. The Manly club develop quality administrators, but at Parra they can't read or write. I think Steve Sharp failed his plumbing degree and the toilets are overflowing at Bankwest, thanks to the Janitor. Isaac Luke would be a terrible signing. Is he related to Carl Webb?

I thought Arthurson was a real prick. I couldnt stand him.
I think Luke would have been a good teacher for Mahoney, who is developing well anyway.

Isaac Luke is past his best. The year the Bunnies won the GF in 2014, he was a great player. I wouldn't sign him now or even in the past 3 years.

Arthurson developed the evil empire and it has stayed that way ever since.
I agree that Luke is past his best, but could be a good teacher to a young hooker.

Michael Jennings still not signed.
The grave digger has his work cut out, a lot of players are off contract at the end of next season.
Haze Dunster (2020), Samuel Hughes (2020) who the hell are they???

Haze Dunster (2020), Samuel Hughes (2020) who the hell are they??? Those two players are not listed on Wikipedia or even Zero Tackle. Must be juniors from the lower grades. Grave Digger better start looking into the juniors and making sure the Eels have decent talent scouts, because the players are there, just have to choose the right ones. Not easy signing already developed players that are the best in the game. No Cronk or SBW ever lured to Parra.

EELS REJECT TIGERS RELEASE REQUEST
Posted by CURSED EEL on November 29, 2019 at 2:57pm
The tug-of-war between Parramatta and the Wests Tigers over the services of teenage sensation Stefano Utoikamanu has intensified after the Eels rejected an immediate request for a release.
NRL.com can reveal Parramatta intend to dig their heels in and keep the 192cm, 115kg prop at the club in 2020 despite a request to link with the Tigers immediately.
Still reeling from the news that the teenage sensation had rejected their extension to sign a three-year $800,000 deal with the Tigers from 2021, the Eels are adamant he won't be released from his final year at the club.
Utoikamanu is currently on a development contract with the Eels, but instead of being granted a release to play first grade at the Tigers, Parramatta have offered the 19-year-old a top 30 NRL position in 2020.
The Eels believe he can add value to the squad in 2020, and believe having him on their roster adds to their chances of success next season.
The 19-year-old, who has been likened to Brisbane's Payne Haas and is regarded as the most promising young player in next year's rookie class, is yet to accept the Eels' $70,000 offer.
Despite Utoikamanu's preference to depart immediately, Eels officials insist the NSW under 20s prop hasn't wavered in his commitment to the team and his dedication at training.
While there have been a number of players across the NRL in recent years who have caused a scene to gain a release, Utoikamanu has told the club he won't go down that path regardless of the outcome of negotiations.
However there is history between Utoikamanu's family and the club over the handling of a neck injury to his younger brother that prevented the club from retaining his services.
It's understood the history was a factor in negotiations.
The Eels have no shortage of front-rowers, with Junior Paulo, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Kane Evans, Daniel Alvaro and Marata Niukore all at their disposal in 2020.
They also have high opinions of junior representative forwards Sam Hughes and Dave Hollis.
The Tigers aren't blessed with depth in the forwards and are expected to throw the youngster straight into the furnace to bolster their stocks should he be granted an unlikely release.
Utoikamanu, an Australian schoolboys representative, scored the match-winning try for NSW in a man-of-the-match performance in the under 18s Origin game last year, backing that up with 149 metres from 11 hit-ups for the Blues in the under 20s victory this year.

I am glad the Eels have put a halt to the release of that player. Maybe the grave digger will stop the bleeding of juniors???

I am glad the Eels have put a halt to the release of that player. Maybe the grave digger will stop the bleeding of juniors??? I thought this player had already left. Good to hear, he's still around. Surely he will want to stay at Parra, a much better team than the Wests Tigers. Does he want Brown and Moses to play alongside or that old hack Benji Marshall? Eels ruined the Wests Tigers this year. What a performance, 51-6.

I thought that guy was already signed and gone to the Tigers myself. Who knows maybe he has but the Eels dont like the way it went? The Eels have lost good juniors for many years, it is just that this one may have happened under the grave digger, nothing has possibly change under this new suit.

I'll be really annoyed if they lose juniors, because they went out of their way to keep Mannah, a player at the end of his career that was no longer playing games. Grave Digger has two years to prove himself, but after one, we'll know how good or bad he really is.

maybe you and me will be the only 2 to realize the grave digger has huge deficiencies. Look how long it too for the majority of Eels supporters to figure out the Emperor???

The Mole: Parramatta Eels throw lifeline to young half Brock Lamb By The Mole
The Mole: Parramatta Eels throw lifeline to young half Brock Lamb
Parramatta are set to bolster their halfback ranks by signing former Knights and Roosters pivot Brock Lamb.
Lamb, a 22-year-old Knights junior, started this season at the Roosters but managed just one game behind the established Cooper Cronk-Luke Keary combination.
Out of frustration, he moved to England, where he played some good football for the London Broncos to attract the attention of Eels coach Brad Arthur.
Lamb is expected to sign with the Eels before the end of this week and will be a handy back-up to the classy combination of Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown.
The former Australian Schoolboy could also prove a valuable addition in 2021, with Brown coming off contract at the end of next season and a host of rival clubs already showing interest in him.
Brown debuted this year and was among the best rookies to hit the NRL scene in 2019, forming an immediate chemistry with Moses.

Eels fans are defensive, bag anything about the club even when it's obviously wrong and the fans start arguing. Football is a tough gig, if you don't produce success, you should be punted!! Nobody wants to see someone lose their job, being sacked is a horrible experience, but the whole idea is to win premierships, anything else is a failure. Fitzgerald lived off Kenny, Sterlo, Price and Cronin, but when their days were over, he came up with nothing. The guy was just in the right place at the right time, 1981-1986. Grave Digger has to expect the axe if he does not produce success.
