who cares, it seems like a lot of crap over nothing quite frankly. If there was a lot of worthwhile news would that have even bothered being reported? Maybe a couple lines at most. Agree. Sportingnews.com Gold Coast Titans in danger of losing representative forward Jai Arrow Injured Gold Coast Titans star Jai Arrow is being closely monitored by a plethora of NRL clubs, with the Queensland State of Origin enforcer becoming available to negotiate with rivals from November this year. Arrow, 23, is currently out with an ankle injury and will not take part in the Origin decider next Wednesday night, but has been one of the game's best performing forwards in 2019. And The Australian's Brent Read is reporting that clubs are circling as the Titans look to lock up their main man long-term. "They want to get him locked up before November 1 because come then he would be on the open market and there are a lot of clubs monitoring that situation," he said. "Sometimes we see a guy offered a contract on November 1 and I think Parramatta is one of those club's looking at him. "If he hasn't extended at the Titans before then they will be one of a few clubs that go real hard at him because he's obviously a very talented footballer." Arrow isn't the only Gold Coast star being looked at by other NRL sides, with AJ Brimson set to be in hot pursuit if or when he decides to go to the open market. But no doubt the most likely person at the Titans to depart is coach Garth Brennan, who looks all but certain to be axed from the club at the end of the 2019 campaign. "Mal is doing the review up there, I don't think they will make a decision straight away, but the consensus is that Garth Brennan is gone after this year," Read said. "Kevin Walters becomes the obvious one, but Justin Holbrook, the St Helens coach, is a sneaky tip and he is doing a great job over there, so I think it is out of those two at the moment." The Titans are struggling massively for form this season and are currently sitting in 15th spot with just four wins and look set to battle it out with the Bulldogs for the wooden spoon.

He would be a great signing if we get him. Qld really missed in in game 2 of SOO. I just hope we do get his signature, he is exactly what we need. I dont have much faith in the front office so it would not surprise if we miss out on him. Hate saying that, but fact are facts.

Looks like Mannah's salary for next year may go on this player. Jai Arrow replaces Mannah.

it all comes down to the front office, and is the front office good enough to get a great signature? Unless the Eels are the only team chasing him I dont think they have the ability to get the good signings?

Who would want to play for the Titans!! I guess the beaches, babes and nightclubs are great, but the football is lousy on the Gold Coast.

I remember Parra beating the Titans in the 2009 finals, 27-2. That was probably the Titans best year ever? Jai Arrow will see the light and head to Parra.

I hope you are right, the problem is that there will be a number of other teams chasing him and I dont think out front office is the best to counter other teams.

The front office at Parra struggle to make deals with their own players. Can't wait till Tim Mannah is coach. LOL No further updates on Jai arrow.

I hope Tim Mannah doesnt become coach he wouldnt be much better than BA. Nathan Cayless might make a good coach??? I wouldn't have a clue on which former players would make a good coach. I don't think coaching would be an easy job. Coaching can ruin your career in the NRL. Once your team starts losing, your job is gone. Except BA, win a spoon and sign another million dollar deal. Coaching can also ruin your reputation - Warren Ryan, Tigers coach in the 1989 GF takes his two best forwards off - Sironen and Roach with ten minutes to go and the game goes into extra time. I think he still cops a bagging to this day about that.

it is easy to be a genius in hindsight. Sironen and Roach may have been totally done physically. That did happen to be one of the best games ever anyway. I wouldnt blame Ryan too much for that decision. It couldnt happen these days because of the interchange rule.

Warren Ryan replied, it's easy for everyone to criticize, once they have hindsight. Nobody has hindsight during the game. The 1989 GF was one of the greatest GF's played. That game had everything.

I am not going to criticize him at all. I didnt like him as a coach especially when he coached the Dogs. These days forwards generally only play 60 mins at best, and Roach and Sironen played 70 mins, so they played well above the average today, and players are probably fitter these days.

Players were tougher back in those days. Game was better and more enjoyable to watch too.
