Tim Mannah at his best was a very good player, I really like that he played his whole career at the Eels, it is rare that someone plays for only one team these days. I believe the Eels will offer him a position at the club when he retires, he deserves it. I've been thinking the same. Mannah will most likely be given a job at the club. Mannah did quite some work for charity over the years.

he has proven to be a really nice guy, and very loyal. I dont think he was ever a good captain. At times his feeling about the Eels was well of the mark, as was proven by the results. I wonder what position he will be offered at the club?

I wonder what position he will be offered at the club? Not sure? I wonder what was said to keep Mannah at Parra for the rest of the season. I don't think he'll get much game time. He only got axed from the team because he's past his best, not because he wasn't putting in a big effort.

totally agree with you. He has always put in 100%. I wish everyone that played for the Eels was like him, we would have one hell of a good team to support then.

Mannah had good role models when he first started in 2009 - Hindmarsh, Cayless and Burt. Good players that always put in 100%. But then unfortunately, the Sandow's and Norman's came along and they were hard to watch. Any player that doesn't put in 100% should be punted.

totally agree with you. Every contract should have written into it that if the club feels you dont put in a 100% effort each gasme they can rip up the contract. Too many people have taken advantage of the Eels and made easy money.

Too many people have taken advantage of the Eels and made easy money. Agree!! The amount of money Parra have spent over the years and not even made the finals is a complete embarrassment. You can't expect success or being competitive every year, but one finals appearance in the past 10 years is mediocre. The Carl Webb signing was rock bottom. I hope Parra make the finals this year, but it's 50/50 at the moment.

I am amazed that they are still in the 8 after some of those woeful showings. A few of those bad showings would be the worst performance by any team this year.
Yes, the Carl Webb signing was laughable, and probably the worst signing in NRL history. Only the Eels can do that.

Not only are Parra still in the 8, they also have an advantage on those teams outside the 8, because of a much better for and against. If they lose against the Raiders, no other team will jump Parra on the ladder. Parra will still remain in the 8 unless those other teams win by 40-50 plus.

it has been incredible how the Eels have been staying in the 8. I am not really confident that they will make the playoffs but hoping for the best. The 3 game losing streak before the Souths game, I thought they were the worst team in the NRL.

The 3 game losing streak before the Souths game, I thought they were the worst team in the NRL. Teams that have a 50% success rate shouldn't be in the finals. I liked the top 5 system better. All quality teams. The loss to the Panthers was rock bottom this year. Penrith are terrible and played shocking in that game, but still won. I couldn't believe that game. BA had to sack players after that game.

I think BA did get rid of a number of players after the Penrith game. That game was a hard one to watch as both teams were down right pathetic.

Mannah is in the Wentworthville team, so not playing for the Eels anyway. I guess you can classify it as Eels reserve grade, but would it really feel like it?

I didn't know that. I don't bother with the lower grades. Mannah must be one of the best players on the field at Ringrose Park. Chris Sandow ended up there, before he left Parra.
