I believe David Gower wants to go around for another season. I think he is the most underrated player in the Eels. Not the best player in the world but has talent and tries his best every time he is on the field.

Not the best player in the world but has talent and tries his best every time he is on the field. Agree. He always puts in a big effort. Not really any worthy signings from other clubs. Maybe pick up a player to be only used as a bench player. I saw the name Scott Sorensen from the Sharks. Any relation to those horrible Sorenson brothers who played for the Sharks in the 80's? Mitchell Allgood at the Dragons! All Parra rejects head there. Can't believe Benji and Robbie at the Tigers are still going.

Benji and Robbie are still good, maybe they will still go around next year?
I have no clue about Scott Sorensen, I do remember those Sorensen brothers. They were assholes.

Sporting News Tim Mannah waivering over Wests Tigers move Uncertainty surrounds Parramatta stalwart Tim Mannah's mooted move to the Wests Tigers, with the veteran prop yet to sign a contract with the joint-venture club. Multiple media reports on Tuesday night declared the 31-year-old had agreed to a shock switch to the Tigers for the rest of the 2019 NRL campaign. However, the veteran of 233 games for the Eels is yet to sign on the dotted line. Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire told News Limited journalist Phil Rothfield he has 'no idea' whether Mannah is heading to Concord but said there is a spare spot on the roster if he still wants it. Parramatta are also reportedly in the dark over Mannah's next move as the former club captain weighs his next move. The Tigers are in crisis as Maguire attempts to re-shape the squad crafted by ex-coach Ivan Cleary. Props Russell Packer and Ben Matulino have reportedly fallen out of favour with the no-nonsense coach. Mannah, who is off-contract at season's end, has spent time in reserve grade in recent weeks but has the potential to play first-grade at the Tigers and potentially earn a contract for 2020. But the former NSW Blues prop is reportedly having second thoughts. Rothfield reports Mannah's recent falling out with manager Isaac Moses is adding to the veteran's uncertainty. Mannah made his NRL debut for the Eels in 2009. He has made 10 first-grade appearances in 2019 but has not featured in Brad Arthur's squad since the Round 11 loss to Penrith.

I dont really care if Mannah goes to the Tigers or not. It makes no difference to the salary cap as it is only this year. We need the money for next season by not signing him again.
Due to the poor performance of the front office of the Eels I am not all that confident that will will get some decent signings for next season. Gurr is crap, doesnt much much ability.

Looks like Mannah is staying for the rest of the season. NRL.com Tim Mannah to stay at Eels The Eels have confirmed veteran prop Tim Mannah will see out his 2019 contract at the club. Mannah requested a release to join the Wests Tigers mid-season after being demoted to reserve grade and told he was unlikely to be in the club's plans beyond the current season. Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire had been eyeing the former Origin front-rower as an experienced leader to add to his squad's middle forward depth. However, late talks between Mannah and the Eels have resulted in the Lebanon international staying put for 2019. In a statement, the Eels said there will be discussions around Mannah's ongoing involvement after his retirement from football. "We are delighted that Tim will play out the 2019 season here at the Eels," said Parramatta CEO Bernie Gurr "Tim is in his 11th NRL season with the Eels and continues to be an outstanding contributor to our club. Mannah said he was happy to be staying at the Eels. "I am a Parramatta Eels junior and I love our club. My total commitment is to helping our club be successful. I appreciate the support from our wonderful members and fans," Mannah said in the club statement.

What is the deal with Mannah? Why would he want to move on and the Eels grant it, but then he stays? What the hell.

The Eels could be that dumb, hate to say it. They have already kept a worthless coach. They keep proving that stupidity is the norm for this poorly run club.

Tim Mannah's mooted move to the Wests Tigers has been kiboshed after confirmation he will remain with Parramatta until the end of the NRL season.
Mannah appeared set for a shock move to the Tigers last week after losing his spot in the top-17 with the Eels under coach Brad Arthur.
However the Eels on Tuesday confirmed their co-captain would see out his contract with the club, which expires at the end of the year.
"We are delighted that Tim will play out the 2019 season here at the Eels," Eels chief executive Bernie Gurr said in a statement.
"Tim is in his 11th NRL season with the Eels and continues to be an outstanding contributor to our club."
The Tigers were expecting to add Mannah when the former NSW State of Origin prop reportedly requested a release from his club last week.
Tigers coach Michael Maguire was open about his desire to add some leadership to his young and experienced forward pack.
However Mannah is now likely to finish his career a one-club man.
Based on that, it appears Tim is playing in his last season. Eels v Manly at Bankwest in the last round. I guess Mannah's farewell will be that game!!

I think it is actually good that he will end up a one club man. At his best he was a very capable player, but has had his day in the sun.

it seemed stupid to me as well. As it seems they are not going to sign anyone before the June 30 deadline, they didnt need to free up some money anyway. They do need the money they paid him for next season going forward though.

LOL Maybe when Tim scored a try against the Bulldogs in the 2009 GF qualifier.

Tim Mannah at his best was a very good player, I really like that he played his whole career at the Eels, it is rare that someone plays for only one team these days. I believe the Eels will offer him a position at the club when he retires, he deserves it.
