Yes, when people are at retirement age the government pays a pension and you do get some medical coverage but still have to pay insurance to make the coverage worthwhile. You are right it is insane here.

it is a huge concern. Arent you glad you live in Australia? America is a great country but it does have its problems like most things, nothing is ever perfect. America would do a lot better if it was run by politicians with half a brain in there head, and were for the people, not themselves.

America would do a lot better if it was run by politicians with half a brain in there head, and were for the people, not themselves. Politicians are not on the street level like the rest of us!! As long as their world is decent, that's all that matters to them. They don't have to live amongst the masses and struggle too. America is probably the best country to live in, if you're super rich, whereas Australia is the place to be, if you're middle class or lower. But I've always wondered why you don't see many Americans living / working in Australia like the English. Is that because the American government still taxes it's citizens, even though they are working and living in another country? So Americans would then pay double tax. |

If you are super rich here it doesnt matter if you high dollar for medical insurance as it doesnt go by how much money you have. The rich are taxed less here than many countries and the cost of living is reasonably low. What a great place for the rich to live. Trump will never hit the rich with higher taxes, because he would be hitting himself if he did that.
You are so right about politicians. They live in there own little bubble, and do not relate to the real world.

the Mexicans want be able to blow the wall up because it is on US soil and there are border patrols everywhere. They could probably climb it with rope but old people want be able to do that.
