the second drought is due to poor handling of the club for way to many years, plus coaches that havent been up to scratch, including BS that always choked in big games. Fitzgerald failed to bring success after the glory years!! I can't believe it took a decade to attract quality players to the club when the four Bulldogs signed. Remember after 1986, when the next lot of players were going to be superstars!! Crnkovich, Mahon, Bell, Delroy and Jackson. LOL They didn't live up to expectation.

They were all downright lousy. Parramatta had lousy players come through for years and were paying overs for them. I remember they were above the salary cap and all they had was a bunch of reserve graders. The most poorly managed club ever.

The players seem reasonable and they're putting in a big effort every game.

it looks like night and day compared to last season. I hope they put in this sort of an effort for the full season.

We'll have a good idea after 5 rounds. So far they look like a completely different team, but with the same coach. What has BA done differently to produce the 80 minute effort every game? We might be witnessing another 2017, a once off?

shame they choked in the playoffs in 2017. The showed against the Storm they could match it with the big boys and then sucked against the Cowboys

shame they choked in the playoffs in 2017. The showed against the Storm they could match it with the big boys and then sucked against the Cowboys Michael Morgan was on fire for the Cowboys. I really thought Parra would win with no Thurston playing, but underestimated Morgan. Cowboys got hammered in the Grand Final. Their performance was terrible.

Parramatta would have done better in the Grand Final than the Cowboys, they knew how to play the Storm.

That playoff game against the Storm was totally dominated by the Storm for the first 25 mins, but the Eels hung in there well. I hope they play the Storm that way this year as the Storm are already looking strong.

The Eels were impressive again. The Sharks were down in personnel, but still an impressive game.

Unfortunately Manly are looking quite good as well and probably no wooden spoon for them either.
