I'll listen to this later. It hurts to see a good player leave the club to captain Manly to Grand Final wins.

I remember Lyon saying that he left Parra because he was feeling homesick at the time for his hometown of Wee Waa, but ended up in England!! How does that make sense?

did he leave the Eels at the beginning of the 2002 season? 2004, I think mid way through the season. I wish he stayed, he was a good player and a decent captain. Parra are back the front with everything they do. Lose Lyon to Manly after his stint in England, and gain Watmough from Manly when he was past his best. It appears Parra is a feeder club for Manly and a retirement home for Manly players no longer wanted on the northern beaches.

you summed it up perfectly. T-Rex goes to Manly at his prime, comes back to the Eels as a crock. Manly must love Parramatta for the constant supply of players, but otherwise the hatred between both clubs is evident.

Whoever was involved in Parra's recruitment in the past 10 years is hopefully sacked by now. Disgraceful signings!! The Carl Webb signing and even signing Willie Tonga was obviously wrong.

I remember Noel Cleal was a recruitment guy for the Eels and then moved over to Manly. At the time Lyon said he wanted to be where Noel Cleal was. The question I have to ask is Noel Cleal a dirty old man?

I guess that was when he used to be with the Eels, so he would look even worse now, the dirty old man.
