I guess that would depend on the girl in this case. If she is a goldigger he is in huge trouble. Just his lawyer will cost him plenty.

Hayne wouldn't be the first football player to do time. Ma'u and Danny Wicks went to the big house!! Also, John Elias and smokin Joe Kilroy. In 1983 Kilroy was ranked as the world's best fullback, but in 1989 he was sent to jail for three years on drug-related charges. On his release in 1991, he played one game for the Broncos. Elias left Balmain to re-join the Rabbitohs mid-way though the 1994 Winfield Cup season. That season Elias was involved in a match-fixing plot that involved four players from his Souths team and four players from Wests. Elias was jailed for nine months in 1995 after pleading guilty in the NSW District Court to two counts of supplying amphetamines, one count of possessing F1 sub-machinegun parts and one count of possessing prohibited articles, namely military-style flak vests.

Amazing the Eels never signed Kiltoy and Elias. No further news on Hayne. I wonder if he's worried? I would be freaking out.

I would think he would be freaking out. Going from an elite professional sportsman to being a con would be worrying. Jump on that fishing boat Jarryd.

I heard the trawler has docked, it is just a matter of Hayne getting there before it goes to sea again. So what if he smells fishy when he gets to New Guinea.

Facing jail and has money, he needs to do a runner!! LOL If I were Hayne, I'd be driving that fishing trawler. Captain Hayne!! He should also lose the boat at sea before docking, make it look like he fell overboard and went missing.

they would worship him in New Guinea. He would have the time of his life and be done with the court hearings hanging over his head. I wonder if he has been smart enough to even think of that?

If he didn't have a job there, he couldn't continue to finance himself. Convert the money he has and he could live like a king, but the money would eventually run out. And if he needed medical treatment he would have to fly back to Australia. He would have to do a Christopher Skase job and steal something like 40 million, go to Spain and never come back. LOL

Medical in New Guinea might be better than we think. He wouldnt be able to come to Aust or he would be arrested. Hayne does have Fiji heritage so not too far from New Guinea.

I tend to think he will get some time up the river. He could well be made an example of.

I tend to think he will get some time up the river. He could well be made an example of. You could be right. I'm only saying no, because I can't believe it could come to this. From 2009 Grand Final / Dally M winner to jail!! Feels surreal.

it is a real shame for such a talented player, but thems the brakes. A lot of big name stars think that they can get away with murder.
