10. Jim Sarantinos (Parramatta): The power dynamics at Parramatta now are as complex as ever and Sarantinos is not the most powerful CEO with a hands-on chairman and Mark O’Neill having a significant say on football matters. He is rightly taking a knock for being unprepared and indecisive in his first coaching transition, leaving the sacking of Brad Arthur too late to bring in Wayne Bennett, which was not only Plan A but the club’s only plan.
Spent an inordinate amount of time looking for a replacement that will be anything but exciting given the conservative approach, Smart but lacks dash. Still, regarded as adept commercially who usually reaches the right positions, even if it is late and has been aggressive in trying to force change in the officiating ranks.
He seriously sucks

The Eels ultimately made the right call, for mine, in appointing Jason Ryles. A rookie coach, in a pressure situation, is always a risky move, but I believe it's the right one. Ryles looks as though he has given up on Craig Bellamy ever retiring and has taken the job. When Ryles said no to the Dragons I was convinced he was waiting for the Storm role. This is an exciting time for both the club and the coach.

I am happy that the vendor was not picked, but another rookie coach is worrying.

Dont forget Stephen Kearney as well. At least Ryles did play a couple of years with the Eels. That might be of some solace. I am not sure what to call Ryles yet because I dont know what he will be like? If you want to call him something what about the COMPOST HEAP, because he could be another Storm throw away like the others. BAHAHAHAHA Compost Heap!! Growing a new decade of vegetables at the Eels. Ryles never played for the Eels. He played for the Dragons, Roosters and Storm.

Which current NRL coach was secretly pushed to Parramatta before Jason Ryles got the job on Monday?
The coach, from a struggling club, isn't in a good place with his players and knows his time at his current club is set to come to an end within the next 12 months.
Watch the 2024 NRL premiership live and free on Nine and 9Now.
But it came too late – the Eels had already decided on Ryles, and he is a good choice.
Ryles has served a long apprenticeship at the Storm and Roosters and will bring a new approach to the club.
The Eels are in need of a facelift and Ryles will do whatever it takes.
