even though the Panthers have had a lot of success of late I could never see them in the top echelon of supported teams. A young club as well but still not growing in support. The Eels in the 70s and 80s took off with their support and are still growing. Even have interstate supporters. |

Parramatta is not a bad place, Penrith is a dive, or at least it used to be? Penrith has always been the pits. Any wealthy people in the area lived on the other side of Nepean river nowhere near the town centre. |

It never impressed me there. An old friend of mine when I was a kid moved out there and the last time I spoke to him he seemed very unhappy.

It never impressed me there. An old friend of mine when I was a kid moved out there and the last time I spoke to him he seemed very unhappy. It's the pits. I never liked the place or the people. Panthers Leagues Club was impressive but that was about it. |
