Talking points Pony was criminally bad even though Eels win. Dylan Brown back to form in this only position. Panthers game plan was poor. Flushing turd has a good record against the best teams this year, but not a great record against middle od the road teams and a lousy team. 80 minutes from these Eels is rare. Do you think Eels can beat Panthers and Storm in the finals? And have the Eels improved against the better teams this year? I still question how they'll go in the finals, poor form or get nervous and fail.

I frankly think they are very inconsistent. I guess if they have an on day in the finals they could beat either team, but you never know what you are going to get with them. Remember in the finals they belted the Broncos and the following week they were belted by the Storm. That is the inconsistency I am talking about. It is happening this regular season as well.

That did happen but the Storm with Cameron Smith were too hard to beat. Eels have a chance now that Smith has retired. Look at the Panthers against the Storm in the grand final, they got smashed but then won the following season. But I know what you mean, the Eels have an off day too often and in the finals they'll need to win numerous games in a row to win the competition.

That Panthers v Storm GF reminded me of the 2001 GF. All one team first half with the other team making the score look more respectable in the second half.
Shame the Eels didnt win it all in 2002, damn it.
Eels by 8 against Roosters

After a grand final loss and I travelled all that way for a trial.

Last week against the Roosters was terrible. Decent comeback by the Eels but still lost.
This week against the Sea Eagles
Bad points
*Poor start against a Manly forward pack struggling to make ground *Eels scored 22 points but never looked dangerous with the ball *Weak out wide on the wings *Turbo Tom injury finished Manly for the night - might have been different if he stayed on the field
Good points
*Would have lost that game in previous years but came back *Moses conversion from the sideline to win the game

the game against the Roosters was horrid. They were not much better against the evils. They really have a long way to go to become a threat. Defense sucks.
Now that Barrett got fired I hope Mahoney changes his mind. The best player for the Eels the past 2 weeks was Papali'i and he is moving on next season. The future looks sad.
