no, mostly they dont like it but do know about it which amazes me. I think the game is down right lousy. It's just a kicking game back and forth. Imagine a scrum every time a knock on occurred. Hot potato sport!! |

I have to admit the only compliment I can give that lame sport is the fact that those guys are super fit. There is no place in that game for someone like Fui Fui Moi Moi. I dont mean anything like race, I guess I should have said Blocker Roach.

I had the ball and everyone yelled out "kick it to me". I guess you had to grow up playing the sport to understand. |

I wouldnt know the difference between the 2 games, I think they both suck. AFL was invented in the 1800s, before Rugby League started in Sydney in 1908. I guess the English influence never came to Melbourne. |

Some of those Melbourne AFL clubs incepted just before the turn of the century (1900). In Sydney around 1908, Norths, Souths, Easts, Wests, Balmain and Newtown. Don't know who I would have supported in 1908 if I were around. Guess it depended on where you lived. |

I believe all the hills are gone now and that scoreboard is behind a stand. I used to love sitting on that hill where the scoreboard is. I watched the 1981 GF on that hill.
I think that one small stand to the left was moved to North Sydney Oval?

Wish I had been there but was watching on TV that day. Must have been great celebrations when the siren sounded, finally a premiership. |
