when they get the 60000 capacity stadium they will be still scratching there head on how to win a premiership. Clueless fools. Eels have everything, big supporter base, money, fantastic stadium, but no winning culture. What's the point? Manly have no supporters, probably broke and a third world ground, but win premierships.

Eels inform Ferguson he won't be at the club beyond 2021
The Parramatta Eels have told Blake Ferguson he will not be at the club beyond the end of next season, opting against extending the contract of the former NSW winger.
The Herald can reveal the Eels informed Ferguson's management a fortnight ago that there won't be a spot for him at the club after the 2021 season. Ferguson, who joined the club from the Sydney Roosters in 2019 on a three-year $1.5 million deal, still has another year to run on his contract.
The Eels aren't actively forcing Ferguson out of the club, but nor would they stand in his way should he land an extended deal at a rival club.
The Eels have had internal discussions about Penrith winger Josh Mansour, who is also aware of Parramatta's interest, however the club is not in a position to take the next step unless Ferguson was willing to move on.
Both Mansour and Ferguson are managed by Sam Ayoub, who recently claimed there had been no discussions around Ferguson's future at the club. The manager appears to have left out some of the details surrounding Ferguson's situation in a recent article in The Daily Telegraph.
"That has never been a discussion. I am his manager, no one has pushed it to me," Ayoub told the Telegraph about the possibility of Ferguson moving on earlier in the week.
"As for Parramatta having interest in Josh Mansour, that has never been a discussion. I met with them a week and a half ago about a raft of issues at Parramatta. Not once was there a discussion around pushing Blake.
"In actual fact, can I tell you what was said to me: ‘We are looking forward to Blake (playing in 2021). We know it is a year he is coming off contract. He will want to have a good year and we are looking forward to that’. That is exactly what was said to me."
Ferguson had a sensational first season at the Eels but struggled to find the try line in 2020, and as a result lost his spot in the NSW State of Origin team.
Ferguson still has plenty to offer, however the Eels have given him plenty of notice to find another club for 2022. If Ferguson wants to move on immediately, the Eels won't stand in his way and could trigger a flurry of movement before the Christmas break. In other player transfer news:
The Wests Tigers are willing to offer Mansour a contract for 2021 and 2022, however the winger is holding out for another year on top.
The Bulldogs' hopes of Penrith releasing Matt Burton in 2021 appear slim with the Panthers making plans to play Burton at centre next year pending Brent Naden's rehabilitation from alcohol-related issues. Canterbury are one of several teams, including Cronulla and Melbourne, hopeful of finding out Burton's long-term future within the next week.
The Wests Tigers are considering offering James Roberts a one-year deal on $150,000 with strict conditions, similar to the one-strike agreement he had with South Sydney.
The Parramatta Eels are waiting for the NRL Integrity Unit to finish its due diligence on Bryce Cartwright before they can announce the back-rower's signature. The NRL wants to make sure everything is above board before the Eels announce the $130,000 deal.
Stephen Crichton will meet with the Panthers in the next few weeks to discuss the fallout from the handshake agreement gone wrong. Crichton's manager will argue he is worth more than the $1.5 million, three-year deal that was agreed upon mid-season. He is expected to remain at Penrith but on a more lucrative deal.
Josh Aloiai has been ordered back to training on November 30 despite mocking club chairman Lee Hagipantelis. The Tigers won't release him until there is an advantage outcome for the club.
Jason Saab is still agitating for a release from St George Illawarra to link with the Manly Sea Eagles.
Penrith fullback Daine Laurie has agreed to a two-year deal with the Wests Tigers from 2022. His manager Matt Desira had requested an early release to play first grade with the Tigers in 2021 but the request has been denied at this point.

It is disgusting that the evil empire does so well on a regular basis and the Eels do so poorly on a regular basis. The stars are not aligned correctly.
I think getting rid of Ferguson for Mansour is a backward step, but what do you expect from the Eels. I think Ferguson will have a great 2021.
Bryce Cartwright could be a great signing if he can just concentrate on rugby league, he has always had a lot of talent.

Manly are good at attracting the right players and getting the best out of them. Been successful for a long time. I thought the complete opposite - Mansour had a decent year and Fergo struggled so I was OK with the swap. Didn't think much of Bryce Cartwright.

Cartwright has always had a lot of talent, the trouble is the best will not come out at the Eels. The best he can hope for is he will learn how to clean a toilet perfectly.
I agree Mansour was better than Ferguson this season, but, I think Ferguson can turn that poor season around, but, it may never happen under the fool flusher, who has zero ability.

Cartwright was dating a bad girl who posted nude pics of Bryce on the internet and was then found dead. Eels don't need players getting into trouble like this unless all that is behind them. I think Ferguson is done. I won't say he cost the Eels their season, but the Eels defence out wide was diabolical. Fergo looked like Paul Carige at times, especially under the high ball. I'd take Mansour over Fergo.

I didnt know about that. It takes a looser to be with a looser so maybe he is just a looser. I think I have changed my mind about him. He always did have a lot of talent though.
The fool flusher cost the Eels the season and that is it. He has nothing.

The fool flusher cost the Eels the season and that is it. He has nothing. Speaking of losers - Ex-NRL star and Titans coach stood down by club over alleged drug offences Former NRL star and current Titans assistant coach Michael Gordon has been stood down by the club after he was charged over alleged drug offences. “Developing story, Gold Coast Titans assistant coach and veteran NRL player Michael Gordon has been charged over drugs offences as part of major operation on Gold Coast,” Michelle Bishop tweeted. “Titans have stood him down pending investigation.” “It is alleged NRL veteran and Titans assistant Michael Gordon is among seven arrested in a sting on a cross border drug syndicate,” Chris Garry tweeted. The Titans made the decision to stand down Gordon immediately pending an investigation. “Titans statement regarding Michael Gordon being charged by police,” Chris Garry tweeted. “Michael has been working on a contract basis, providing specialist coaching services to the Club over the past season. “He will not be providing services to the club until further notice.“ In a statement, released on Sunday morning, the Titans confirmed they were aware Mr Gordon had been charged by police. “Michael has been working on a contract basis, providing specialist coaching services to the club over the past season,” the statement said. “He will not be providing services to the club until further notice. “The club will make no further comment as the issue is now with police.” According to the ABC, Five other men and one woman have been charged in relation to the alleged syndicate and Mr Gordon is set to face Tweed Heads Local Court on December 14. According to TODAY, Gordon was arrested after being accused of being involved in a cross border drug syndicate. They report that the 37-year-old was one of seven people arrested across Queensland and NSW yesterday following a six-month investigation into the supply of MDMA and cocaine. Gordon scored 92 tries and 1,730 points in 261 NRL games for the Panthers, Sharks, Eels, Roosters and Titans, before retiring at the end of 2019. He also played three games for NSW Country and one Origin game for the Blues back in 2010.

They must fall in with the wrong crowd or greed wanting a bigger house. He will definitely get jailtime if he's a dealer. He might not be a big time dealer though. See what happens. Disgraceful getting involved in things like that.

another ex Eel going to the big house. We now have a winger and goal kicker for the con squad. Wicks and Ma'u and possibly Hayne and Gordon. The Long Bay Eels. Has a nice sound to it. The Parramatta Eels can confirm Bryce Cartwright has signed with the Club on a one-year deal.
Cartwright will commence training with the Club in time for the 2021 pre-season.
The 25-year-old made his NRL debut with the Penrith Panthers in 2014 before moving to the Gold Coast Titans in 2018.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “We are excited to welcome Bryce Cartwright to the Eels.
“Since making his debut in 2014, Bryce has played over 100 NRL games as well as previously representing NSW City on two occasions.
“Bryce is a unique talent having ball skills like few other forwards in the NRL competition. He will add size and skill to our forward pack and depth and quality to our overall squad.
“Bryce was looking for an opportunity in Sydney and is keen to play under Brad Arthur and with our team at the Eels.
“Like Bryce, we believe that through our coaching, quality playing roster and a balanced environment will bring the best out in him, something we are all committed to achieving in season 2021.”
Big devilish grin.

He definitely has the ability but the Eels dont have a coach, so I dont like his chances. I think he would do well under Bellamy or Bennett. He will however learn to clean an awesome toilet. I am sure he will get paid quite well for learning the art of toilet cleaning.

That first paragraph I agree with. Why would he want to play under a janitor? The 3rd paragraph is just garbage.
