Those 3 players are about as bad as it gets, and the thing is there are a lot more, I just cant believe hey didnt come last. Cowboys first year and they only won 2 games all season. That was a shocking year and the only highlight beating the eventual premiers the Bulldogs.

That would have been embarrassing for the dogs loosing to the Eels that year. It was such an embarrassingly bad team I remember that night. Didn't go to the game, went for drinks after work instead. But laughed at the Bulldogs fans on the other platform when I was going home. Amazed they didn't jump the tracks and beat me up.

you had a great night all round, drinks and a good win by an embarrassingly bad team, Those were the days. Last night I stumbled across about 40 pictures going back to 1997, 1998 and 2000 and added them to this website in the games section. Also came across 3 new Cumberland Oval pictures after the fire in 1981 which you can see in the Pictures / Gallery section.

I wonder who decided in there brilliant mind that it would be a great idea to burn down the stadium after the Eels first ever GF win? The fans went mad, built a bonfire near the ground and then decided to trash and steal before it went up in flames. We have one of the most loyal fan bases in the NRL, but not the most well behaved. Some would be downright dumb!!

NRL in general has a lot of dumb supporters, but it is a great game.

NRL in general has a lot of dumb supporters, but it is a great game. Football teams come from middle class and working class areas. Same with England!! Have you ever been to a Millwall or Leeds game? Some rough supporters amongst that lot. All you have to do is YouTube their fans.

I wouldnt go because I have a hard time understanding people in northern England I haven't been past Lincoln, which is the Midlands. Some nice places in England, but many feral places too. Grimsby is a bit that way, I went there once. Quote from the English TV show, To The Manor Born, "Mr DeVere, has as much class as Grimsby dockyards".

I guess Grimsby is on the coast then? Yep. I remember staying there for one night in a bed and breakfast and asking someone, "is this Grimsby Town Station", and the response was, "there's only one Grimsby I know of". Smart ass!! lol

They probably picked on you because you are an Aussie? Grimsby is not really a nice place, only stayed there for one night cause many places were booked in Lincoln around Christmas time. Was really amazed by London, but couldn't see myself living there. The place is too busy and populated.
